My husband is a doctor and a friend of my father's. He traveled to get me, we were married by a judge, and my papers signed and legal he got me out of the country. I went to school, was assigned an older woman to teach me the ways of women in this country. While still young I often went by as his niece or daughter. My family lost everything, and became refugees in Europe.

    One day the woman assigned to teach me, cooking and cleaning, as well as customs for women, she brought up 'the time had come for me to be his wife'. New lessons? No. Then what? I was moving into his room with him. I was now seventeen, and much much older. I wasn't unaware, I knew what was coming. I spent my last day between fear and apprehension, and pretending to know what was coming.

    My husband, who up to then had been my 'father' was now going to take advantage of my status as his wife. The woman assigned to me gave me a g*ft to open, real transparent red underwear. She told my me days, meaning my period, were carefully selected. With all luck I would conceive and present my husband with the son he wanted. That one sentence sent me into anxiety.

    But, my husband thought that underwear was ridiculous, he was gentle and understanding, asking me if I was ready to accept the responsibilities of running the house, he had really never liked that woman. I went to my wedding bed and only after college did I present him with his son, after presenting him with a daughter.
