Torn Up
My wife was out of town on an overnight trip last week and I went out to a bar with some friends of mine. Just guys hanging out. A couple of hours passed and it being a weeknight we called it a night early. I was paying up and getting ready to leave when to my surprise I saw an old girlfriend of mine sitting out on the bar patio having some wine alone. A girlfriend from almost 20 years back who while I had never totally forgotten about her, I hadn't had any real desire to see.
Anyway, I walked over to her and said hello (big mistake) and chatted for a couple of minutes with every intention of leaving and going home. It was your standard long time, no see kinda thing and I ended up sitting with her and having one more. I had already had enough, but after running into her I really wanted to chat. We ended up sitting there for about an hour just talking about life and she asked if I wanted to come over and see her new place which as it turns out was just up the block. My second mistake was seeing no problem with that and going over. Once again, I'm only going to be there a little while. Just long enough to see the place and then head home.
We got there and she gave me a brief tour and I figured that was about it. She's really big into scrapbooking and she had all the photo albums going all the way back and she pulled one out and opened it. It was full of photos of the time we were together. Next thing you know, we're sitting on these stools in her eating area walking down memory lane. Of course, a bottle of wine turned up and we each had another glass.
She still was just as beautiful as I remembered and starting to let her hair go gray. We had broken up due to your normal bickering and finding other people etc. The best part of the relationship was the sex. The very next girl I met after her is now my wife of 16 years. I'm sitting there realizing that I had never lost my physical attraction to her and I started having the wrong thoughts enter my head.
She got up to go use the bathroom and I stood up for a minute as I could feel my leg falling asleep. She came back to the kitchen and walked over to climb back up on the stool. Before she could I stuck my arm out and gently grabbed her arm. She turned and faced me and I gave her a hug telling her how happy I was to see her again. I let her go but then suddenly learned over and kissed her. She was always the best kisser and it just jumped off from there. I pulled her back against me and kept on kissing her. My hands made it underneath her blouse and I unhooked her bra and started touching her.
I told her to take me to her bedroom and she asked me if I really wanted to do that since I'm obviously married. I said yes and she took my hand and pulled me upstairs. We were always completely in sync sexually and once we hit the bed it was as though we had just see each other yesterday. Everything was so familiar and comforting and we spent the next two hours or so getting reacquainted with each others bodies. I knew I shouldn't even be there, let alone be doing what I was but I couldn't stop myself.
Afterward I was laying on my back on the bed and we was nestled up against me with her head on my chest just like we always used to do. Just talking and me caressing her. I glanced at the clock after a while and saw the time and knew I had to go home even though there was no one there anyway. I put my clothes back on and before I left kissed her again and then left. I had time to think on the way home and then didn't feel any regret at all. Then I went to bed and when I woke up the next morning I felt like dirt.
My wife is a very warm and loving woman and wouldn't hesitate to do whatever was necessary to help me. I betrayed her.
My wife came back home the next afternoon and its been about four days now. She can tell that I'm down about something but I obviously can't tell her whats up. I haven't been with anyone but her once we agreed to date exclusively so many years ago. I sad about straying, but I also can't get my ex-girlfriend out of my mind. As wrong as it is, I want to see her again and through emails she feels pretty much the same way. We both know that no real relationship is possible anymore, but the sexual attraction we have always had it so strong. She makes me feel a certain way that my wife doesn't and that scares me.
I'm a bad person and a sad person. I need to stay away but I just don't have the desire to do so even considering how big a risk this all is. My wife travels overnight quite frequently and the temptation will always be there and I can't fight it. I don't even know if I want to fight it. Its a messed up situation.
