I've been married for 12yrs . I was a happy good wife till my husband cheated then treated me like crap. ex. He would tap all the phone lines in the house and even checked my body for any kind of marks! Meanwhile he was the one cheating!....Then one day..i never thought it would happen..never thought i would do this..I cheated! It so happends that this guy loves me and i think i do too. We have so much fun together. But..the thought of divorce scares me..even though i don't love my husband which he knows.I feel so rotten over what i did..but my husband made me suffer alot. Not that what i did makes it right but i guess things happen for a reason. I love this other man..but i am so scared.

Get out of your marriage and go with the other guy ... or strike out on your own. No one needs a lying, cheating, domineering spouse. I can't say that you are perfect either, but it sounds like you were screaming for someone to love and respect you, and someone filled that role. Get out, now.

Thanks for your reply. I think i am going to go out on my own for now..Just to get myself together first and not commit to this other guy quickly. I don't want to be making the same mistake. thanks

I have had almost the exact same thing happen to me. I have left my husband and am on my own now. It's still pretty recent, as of the last few weeks. It's freakin' scary, and lonely sometimes. I didn't want to be a divorced woman, but I also don't want to have to cheat to get what I want. The loneliness makes me want to go running to the guy I slept with. But I won't because I don't need to start a brand new neurotic (dysfunctional) relationship like the last. Better to figure out what I really want first; better to wait it out.

Now I can pick and choose who I want to be with, no sneaking around. I suggest you go, just to get some peace of mind, and some freedom to decide. Especially if you don't love your husband. You are sparing him as well as no longer wasting your own time. Just go on, now.

I was gonna give you advice too, but I agree with #63 advice.

Sounds like she having a tough time too! I feel for the both of you. I wish you both luck and I'm sure this will only make both of you tougher in the long run.

One day, (not now of course) you will be able to look back and will be so glad you took the opportunity to leave because can you imagine life like that for years on end???

Go live and be single and go figure on things for a while. Any emotions you might have such as fear anger and feeling lonely or distraught are all growing pains and when going through a crisis like this. Those types of emotions are only human and are definately expected.

You gotta go through the emotions to grow from good and bad experiences alike.

You are going to be okay, you just need to believe in yourself! I believe in you!!!

Take good care! Keep your chin up and be proud of yourself!
Live, learn and grow even if it means getting hurt along life's journey.
