I had this wierd dream the other night.I was on stage infront of a large audience performing as a magician, wearing a tuxedo with tails and top hat.My wife was my assistant, wearing one of those skimpy costumes. After doing several tricks,I was about to put her in the disapearing cabinet to do the trick. She took the magicians wand from me and said she'd better do this one.Suddenly she was wearing the tux and top hat,and I was in the skimpy assistants outfit. She pushed me into the cabinet and made me disapear.Instead of bringing me back, she put the hat on the prop table to pull a rabbit out of it.Instead of a rabbit she pulled me out of the hat,and I was very small. She put me on the table and started taking bows while the people applauded. Then I woke up.
Weird huh?

....Ummmmmmmmmmm,well, yeah - - it was a dream. When you can recall them, they usually are - strange. The weird thing about your post is how you spelled weird incorrectly twice before coming back the third time and spelled it correctly.THAT was weird.

The "dream" simply reflects the original poster's anxiety about his spouse. Common enough. It is interesting that the original poster misspelled the word("wierd" - - wIred dream, maybe?) twice, and finally spelled it correctly. A posted "Freudian slip."

"Wierd[sic] Dream" = "worried" dream?

Sorry,I didn't realize I misspelld the word weird.
Now,what anxiety about my wife?
I just thought it was a strange dream that might be worth posting.I figured maybe I ate too late and that caused the dream.I don't know anything about Freudian slips.
Maybe someone can explain it,I hope.

Dreams occur throughout sleep, but the ones we recall occur just at the stage of awakening. It isn't unusual to completely forget most dreams as soon as we are awake, and this dream-loss becomes more typical as we age. Very often, a remembered dream is one that has stirred some troubling emotion, and we might think about it for a day or two, sometimes more. The actual-or unconscious - dream is ammended in the conscious mind as we gradually gain a fully alert state. One of the pioneers of dream interpretation, Sigmund Freud often startled his family members awake and would question them about their dreams as he worked out his system of dream analysis; what you want to understand about this is that the unconscious dream is sometimes hard to get to without the intervening conscious ammendments. Be that as it may, your dream has a lot of standard archetypical symbols, but it certainly made enough of an impression that you went to the trouble to post it, so let's take a quick look: - - The masculine magician, a worker of wonders, is upstaged by his assistant. You start out in control, but suddenly and unexpectedly, your spouse takes over the "act". Not only that, but she modifies your performance and thereby diminishes you, pulling you, or your miniaturized doppelganger(since you are apparently somewhere watching this all occur passively)out of a hat. - - Your unconscious, dreaming mind was definitely chewing on something.... The unconscious mind works in puns and word games that often emerge when we least expect it. These are often termed "Freudian slips". Sometimes, "a cigar is just a cigar", but a lot can be perceived, even from what seems a simple, casual post - by someone who knows what to look for.
