I assume you are a young girl. I am a middle aged man. I only mention that as to let you know I have experience and know what I am talking about. PLEASE take this advise. The best way to make it obvious to people is to make it onvious to someone who can help you. And the best way to do that is to get to a doctor and TELL them. Don't be afraid to open your mouth and ask for help. Please. You're worth it.
I agree! A doctor will definitely help. Be brave! You can fight this. It's not the end of the world.
You can also go to a Food related 12 Step program meeting. People there can help with things that complement the doctor....they have been there, and many of them have found a solution...might find a solution that will work for you.
Best of all, you won't be alone with your problem.
Telling people who have not suffered or genuinely walked the path with those who have may actually hurt.....you risk shocking them, and changing your relationship.....once you find hope, your bulimia illiterate friends can breathe more easy with you being bulimic, as they KNOW they are in no way responsible for your recovery. As terrifying as it is for you to reveal yourself, is as terrifying as it is for someone with no concept of bulimia when they hear you with an open heart....some hearts close down in self-defense.....sounds strange...but true.
