I'm a cliche: a woman who believes that she and her former shrink (the therapuetic relationship ended 17 years ago!!!!) are soul mates, despite our respective primary relationships with other partners and no sexual contact between us (thankfully! --> That would be msessed up -- a secret fantasy, but I probably couldn't deal with such a reality).

My most realistic guess is that he feels the same way and thus ALSO knows that this is no doubt just a function of transference/counter-tansference. Real-but-not-real.

The mind is a terrible thing. :)
