I was in a play about mythology in the sixth grade. The girls wore long white dresses and the boys wore white sheets as togas. The afternoon of our dress rehearsal this girl in my class, Jodie, asked me to "go with her" as in be her boyfriend. I told her I didn't think so but thanks anyway. She seemed a little embarrassed but not too upset.

That night we put on our play in front of an auditorium full of parents and teachers. I had a seen with another boy and two girls. After I said my lines the girl behind me yelled, "Jodie is too good for you!" and I was tugged backwards as she yanked my sheet off. I was standing center stage in my underwear!

The other boy and girl looked shocked, stepped back, then started laughing. The whole place erupted into howls of laughter. I was mortified. I felt faint and nauseated but couldn't move. I stood there blushing frozen in place wearing just a white t shirt and briefs. Finally one of my teachers came out wrapped her coat around me a got me off stage. It's the most embarrassing thing that ever happened to me.
