After 30 years of marriage I never felt so alone. My husband always seemed to be more concerned about his job and his sports, "and" his female co-worker, than he was about me. And my kids, they felt as if they are old enough, and smart enough, to not need to hear any of my advice.

Then I met a guy at work. He's married too, but it seems that he and his wife are a lot more caring and understanding about each other. Their relationship definitely has a lot more give and take than mine. Anyways, I found myself liking this guy a lot.

We started going out for drinks, just the two of us, and I found myself being more and more attracted to him. Our hugs became stronger, and the brief pecks that initially landed on cheeks turned into full-fledged lip-locks. I was the first to slip my tongue into his mouth, and he wasn't shy to do the same.

Needless to say, we've ended up having sex. Four times so far. It's been wonderful. He makes me feel alive. Wanted. Loved. I won't leave my marriage, neither will he, but I don't want to give him up. We try to be careful, but I'm afraid that at some point in time we will have to end what we have.

If you play it all safe and avoid risky times of day or public places, you can certainly have discreet sex. That could go on for years if your own conscience doesn't betray you in some way. Paranoia can be detectable, and paranoia shows up in people with shit to hide. If your attitude is right, it could be long-lasting and still have all else be fine.

It is possible to hide this for a long time but it will eventually come out or be discovered. I am one of millions who has been down that same road. You reach a point where you start resenting your spouse and wishing you could be with your lover all the time. It will eventually hurt you.
