Thank you for your service !!!! Yes, it will be difficult for them, but will take solace in knowing that your passing occured in serving the country that you love. I admire you so much !! There is no draft, but you stepped up and did something so honorable. Proud of you and all your comrades.
Do everything you can to prepare your family - have a will made out, buy life insurance, sit down and talk with them about what you want if you should fall (burial, cremation, services, etc). Write a personal letter to each person you love - each of your parents, girlfriend/wife, and each child (even if they can't read it today, it will mean the world to them later in life). You can even shoot a video for each, but the letter - in your own hand writing and NOT typed on a computer - will mean so much to them.
Everyone passes, it is the nature of the life we were given. But it's how you live your life, and the lasting impression you leave, that differentiates each of us.
