When we were unable to conceive for so long, I tried to talk my husband into getting tested but he always refused. He is a religious man who does not believe in altering God's plan. I secretly had myself checked out and found that I was perfectly healthy. My doctor made it clear that most likely it was my husband's issue.
After two more years without conceiving and a lot of soul searching, I joined several on-line dating sites. After months and months of talking with men on-line, I found one who lived on the east coast who was the spitting image of my husband physically but was a completely different person temperamentally and intellectually. This man often traveled to the west coast for conferences. I resolved to do what I had to and made arrangements to meet him the next time he was in our area. I was very lucky in that my husband was away on business most of that week.
When I met this man, I enjoyed his company and was relieved when he admitted that he was not looking for a relationship. He was interested in a short term sexual relationship only. He was about ten years older than my husband but the resemblance between the two physically was uncanny.
I told him I was also only interested in a sexual relationship. I was worried about his sexual history but after he confessed that he was married and hadn't been with anyone other than his wife in many years I was assured. I told him I was on the pill and he was pleased. I went to his room with him and we had sex. Mind blowing, sensual, sensational, fulfilling sex. We made love seven times while he was here. It was one of the great weeks of my life.
After he left, I went back to being me and waited. When my husband came home I pushed him for sex every night for the next week. He didn't know what got into me but we ended up having sex four or five times that next week. A month or so later I broke the news to him that I was pregnant. I deleted my dating profile, got a new cell phone with a new number and deleted my fake email account and have never heard from my wonderful sperm donor again. Then I held my breath until our son was born beautiful and healthy. I was relieved that he looked like me at birth but now he looks just like his father, and also just like his daddy, my husband. People love to say things to my husband like "you can't ever deny that kid!" and that he's "a duplicate of my husband." I just laugh and agree.
I'm not sorry I cheated. A beautiful little person was created who is the son my husband always wanted. I am sorry I enjoyed it as much as I did though. God willing this secret stays mine and mine alone forever.
