Straight Female / 18
My freshman year in high school I went to a party, my first one where there were no parents, boys where there, and there were a lot of drugs and beer. I don't drink so I took a beer and went into the bathroom and dumped it down the sink and filled the can with water. I basically hung around all night sipping water and watching everyone get plastered.
About 11 PM somebody brought out an empty Segrams bottle and yelled: "Spin the bottle time!"
I had never played, so I thought I'd give it a try. I jumped in the circle and soon it was my turn. I spun the bottle and it pointed to a senior girl who had been drinking heavily. When I got close she grabbed me and had her tongue down my throat before I knew what was happening. Her hands where all over me.
My name is Leslie, but since that party, I've been known as "Lezzie" by everyone at my high school. For a couple years I tried to show I was not lesbian by dating a lot of the wrong type of guys. Basically, by dating any guy. I even bj'ed guys in their cars at lunchtime, but "Lezzie" stuck.
The middle of my junior year, I just gave up trying to convince anyone different, and I basically quit dating. That made everyone even more sure that I am a lesbian. I've graduated now, so no more getting "Hi Lezzie." Every day, at every break, in every hallway.
Problem is that now that I'm out of HS, one of my friends has told me that she thinks she is bi and has been hinting that she is interested in being with me. I love her like a sister, and truthfully, if I had not been branded "Lezzie" in HS and taunted with the lie of being lesbian, then I would probably be interested.
I know I cannot keep avoiding the issue with her, but I don't know what to tell her. I love her like a sister, but I don't think I could really be with anyone in that way. Any time I get any type of thought like that, I hear "Lezzie", "Lezzie", "Lezzie" in my head. She is a wonderful friend, but I'm really messed up from HS.
