I had a great life for the most part growing up. I was an only child my mother died at the hands of a drunk driver when I was 5 yrs old,so it was me and my father and he seemed to know everything,he just knew what to say or what to do in any situation. I looked up to him,I respected him and in my eyes he could do no wrong. It wasn't until 6 months ago when he passed away that I found out that he could've went to prison for many years for some sketches, drawings and paintings he did of me when I was in my early teens. My father was a very accomplished artist and did very vivid and lifelike work,a very talented man he was. He had alot of work that he did before he even married my mother. He had sketches of my mother, paintings of my mother and yes many were of women nude including my mother and throughout my teens I posed countless times for him, often nude but he was very professional and not once did he make sexual advances at me. I mean he did touch me at times to position me for what he was trying to capture in his work. I didn't mind I rather enjoyed it and have posed after going to college for art classes there. I remember staring at my mother's portraits for hours and remember thinking how beautiful she was. He captured her very essence in his work,I could almost feel her presence when he used to paint me so I looked forward to each session that way I could feel her near me. My father died in January of a sudden heart attack and I miss him soo much. It's hard to believe he's gone and with all the drama with law inforcement about my father's work makes it worse. They want to take this case to trial even tho he's dead just so the history books will remember him as a phile and sexual predator, which is stupid. He wasn't a phile I was his daughter he never forced me to pose I was excited to do it in my mother's memory to follow in her foot steps and also for myself to be immoralized for ever on canvas by a talented artist which so happens to be my father. My father loved different styles of expression and I'll never forget being fourteen and one afternoon we watched this Tarzan movie with Bo Derek in it and these natives captured her and her possey and they painted her with what looked like white paint and I told my father how cool it would be for him to do a piece of me painted the way Bo Derek was in the film and he was soo excited to do it and he found out what they used to paint her, which wasn't really paint and he painted my body, then painted me on canvas in five different poses which took two weeks in total but he got one of me tied around the waist to a tree, two on my hands and knees from different angles, one tied between two trees and one of me reaching up picking an apple, which was the worse one because standing reaching up for hours is hard to do. I would love to have my father's work but they tell me I'll never get them due to the criminal nature they were obtained but I have sought legal advice in hopes of getting them. The DA and dectectives sit around looking at my naked teenaged portraits and say they are very nice pieces that my father was indeed an amazing artist but they can't give them to me and more than likely they'll be destroyed in the end. I have been hit on by a detective that's currently investigating my father's case and have been to dinner with him twice and off the record he says he loves my father's work and wished they could be displayed in some sort of art forum and Detective Davey even named it. "Coming of Age" but his opinion doesn't count in a court of law. I'd be proud to be apart of any forum that would bring recognition to my father's work. I do have critics that are harsh on my father and me for that matter calling him a sick phile and me an even sicker whore that's been in an incestous relationship with my own father, which isn't even close to the truth. Me and my father saw it and I still see my father's portraits of me as art and it is art in it's truest form. Let people judge me I can't do anything about it but I stand tall with my head up knowing I am right in my endeavors to claim my father's work, which is rightfully mine. I don't know why all the fuss over nude portraits of me a young pre-teen model that chose to be someone's subject in the name of art. I'm sure had my father known all this would cause such an uproar he may have chosen not to let me model for him but then again he saw the art aspect of it and may have said as I do screw the law I was a willing soul minor or not, nude or not. If the public could just see my father's work of me and the others the world would say,It's Art.
