When I was a kid I was a tomboy and loved playing sports and anything athletic and beat quite a few boys as well. I wanted to tryout out for football but my dad didn't let me and they put me in gymnastics and I caught on fast. I was already very strong for a girl and very flexible which was in my favor. I'm on confessions tonight because things I have pondered in my heart for years are surfacing and not sure how to deal with them. As a gymnast I did strength training to get my body as strong and trim as possible. My dad was very adamant about my body's appearance and we had our own routine away from the gym to get the look he thought was perfect. He later had my mom and brother involved and back then all seemed well but now I'm not so sure. He was a driven man and instilled that into us growing up and I feel the better for it but I was telling someone about our daily routine to get that round tight butt every gymnast wants and they told me it seemed to them my dad had other motives for this routine. My dad would have me to lay down on my stomach and he would rub my butt in circles for an hour every night and I would change positions and do a split with chest on the floor and arms stretched out above my head while he massaged my body in shape. As I grew up I was great and won title after title rarely placing under 1st place but have three 2nd places. Whatever it was it was working but there were times I questioned to myself certain practices like doing our routine with nothing on but it made sense when he told me sometimes even the smallest of attires can restrict blood and flexibility and I was eating it up. When my dad wasn't there my mother or my brother took his place so we didn't miss a routine and fall short during my meets. I never gave these things much thought just chalked everything up to him wanting me to succeed and succeed I did but I'm curious after this woman has got me thinking. I love my dad dearly and how can I ask him. I was fine with our relationship before hearing this and why should I mess with it.
