This happened two days ago and I am truly embarrassed. I'm 30, mother of an 11-year-old, I'm athletic, intelligent, pretty, competent - a sort of supermom. I was home with my son and his friend watching a talk show. The kids were a bit bored and at one point asked if they could tie me up. Absorbed in the show I said ok. They brought one of our wooden diningroom chairs in front of the television and asked me to sit in it. I was basically humoring them, put my arms behind the chair and suddenly realized they were making the ropes very tight. I said "ouch" still absorbed in the program and they kept tying. Soon I was completely bound including my legs so when they wanted to gag me I said "might as well." I was now planning to spring loose after they finished. "Supermom!" I told my son to get one of my bandanas from my dresser. Now I was thoroughly bound and gagged and suddenly realized I could not get loose. I tried to pretend it was funny and kept wriggling while the boys laughed but finally mumbled through the gag to untie me. They couldn't! I was sitting there, still gagged, trying to look bored to hide my growing embarrassment until I finally mumbled for them to get our neighbor. They both ran out without removing the gag leaving me sitting there tied up going "mmph."
Neighbor arrives, sees me and breaks out laughing while I sat totally embarrassed trying to get myself free. Competent, athletic mom lets kids tie her up and can't get free! I felt so humiliated. For at least a minute neighbor and the boys laughed and watched me, the supermom, trying to look blase while also trying to get loose. At last she took the gag from my mouth and very slowly on purpose began untying me while I made excuses about being preoccupied. I had to admit it was funny and I couldn't blame the children since I gave them permission to bind me but I may never live this down.
