We men have several potential factors at play. Genetically, we are wired to want to spread our seed to as many women as possible. Socially and morally, that is unacceptable but that is our genetics. And it's exciting and it feels good. But next, there's the possibility of the addiction cycle being a factor. When we are dealing with emotional or psychological pain, we often turn to something (drugs, alcohol, food, sex, addictive behaviors) to soothe the pain. It turns into a viscous cycle though.
