When I was a kid, there is something that I have always been embarrassed about, but at the same time it is one of my fondest memories of youth. I had a friend, and we were just typical boys. We would go hiking in this wooded place close to where we lived and it was nicely secluded. We really had a good time just being together. One day we started talking about how nice it was being friends, and admitting how much we liked one another, and it was fun and sort of daring talking about that. We both liked it and our feeling close. We sort of laughed how it sounded like we were talking more about something with a girl, and we agreed that really being friends was a lot the same. Admitting that was pretty nice, and we both felt less self-conscious about it. Then, just to prove a point, I suppose, we kissed on the lips. Well, that felt absolutely wonderful, and we were both enthralled over the fact that we could do this. So that started us having a secret , romantic friendship which we enjoyed for about the next two years.
No, it did not induce me to run out and be gay. Which is my point. I think that these days way too much is made out of same-sex feelings and it is all taken completely out of context for both boys and girls. I think how nice it would be if people - especially the "gays" could just get past that and start being more genuinely accepting of people just being people. Radical thinking, I know.
