Okay, I entered: Straight Female. No, I am not a lesbsn, more like "in-between" I suppose. I am having a spahhic friendship. I am divorced and so is my friend. Both of us I guess are just not interested in becoming involved in a serious, long-term male-female relationship. A little over a year ago I moved a small place out in the counrty. The air is fresh, the views nice, and I enjoy lots of peace and privacy (I work at home). Well, my friend came out for a visit, and living out here really appealed to her. I suggested that she move in and we could become room mates. Well, of course, that naturally had conotations, and we both giggled about it. Then, still giggling, we wondered if maybe we could have some fun together. So we gave it a try, and spent the afternoon naked in bed together, discovering how relaxed and uncomplicated and nice this was. It was very satisfying sex. Of course neither of us had any desire to become a lesbian and swear off men and all of that. Yet, the between women chemistry was wonderful to experience. So she moved in, and we ended up thinking that we might as well share the same bed and sleep together. Why not?? So now, for the better part of this last year, we have been delighted in having a spahhic friendship. Yes, I know ... we probably sound like too old lesbians. Really, though, we are just friends who have found that they can enjoy some pleasurable intimacy with each other.
Will it last?? Who knows?? But for right now, this certainly is a very nice arrangement and neither of have any complaints!

Sounds beautiful. I think that a lot of women secretly dream about experiencing something like this, and without being lesbians. Maybe more women should open up and try it!

I think the term "lesbian" has taken on extra meaning in recent years--lesbian is just having exclusive female relations. At this point you your life you are a practicing lesbian: you are in a female gay monogamous relationship.

At some point that does not rule out you having a different relationship that will change your "sexual definition".

I have never bought into the philosophy that you are born gay, bi, or straight--at some point in your life you have attractions for others--same gender or not, and you have to make a choice each time you choose a relationship.

I think it very sad to hear: That guy (girl) is so cute,if I weren't a lesbian (straight or gay), then I'd date him (her). Getting stuck into a "gay" or not rut is tragic, then you have feeling otherwise.

You guys live together, have sex on a regular basis and share the same bed. Anyway you want to label this or call it whatever u want, you are in a relationship with a woman. You may not want to label yourself a "lesbian" but you are definitively living the life of one. With that said, have fun.

'Lesbian' is a particular mindset... personally I am attracted to people... not to any one type... and I will engage them sexually as a way of sharing and having a deep intimacy with them... I share my bed with males and females because they touch me on a deeper level than 'friendship'
