ADVICE FOR PROSPECTIVE CONTRIBUTORS

In my time submitting stories to Adult Confessions (going on 3 years now) I've noted a few things that will help prospective story contributors submit tales which will get positive reactions from the readers.

1. Keep it short and sweet.
(I personally am a fan of the longer stories, but I'm in the minority. Most readers don't want to spend twenty minutes reading an 18,000 word story. At least half of the readers here won't even peruse your submission if its that lengthy.)

2. Make it Believable.
(Everybody here claims that their story is 100 percent really and truly legit. I believe you *wink* but you need to make everyone believe you. Plausibility is everything. An obviously fake story doesn't get anybody hot and may, in fact insult the intelligence of some readers leading to comments like "Bullshit" "Faaake!" etc)

3. Nobody likes Sexual Predators.
(Sure you may gather the few odd That's Juicy clicks from fellow degenerates, but by and large the regular readers both hetero and homosexual hate rapists and pe do philes. You're almost certain to collect more negative comments than positives when you submit stories involving rape or child predation.)

4. Get to the Point
(We don't really care what your house looked like in 1983 or what you had for supper on a regular basis back then. I appreciate that you want to give your story a little color and atmosphere, but all those detailed descriptions add to the length of the overall tale and don't really contribute anything. We're here for the sex, not to learn that you had a green formica table in the kitchen or wood paneling in the living room.)

5. If you're thinking of submitting Scat or Golden Shower stories, flush those ideas immediately.
(I've seen numerous scat and urine fetish submissions over the years and they tend to get tons of negative responses. people just don't want to hear about poop and pee. While it may turn you on, it doesn't do a whole lot for the rest of us.)

I'm sure some of you have more suggestions for more effective writing. If so, feel free to add them in comments.

How do you know what everyone else wants? Your incorrect use of parenthesis annoys me.

Maybe you could just let people tell the story they want to tell it.

Thanks for the tips! When you have your own website, you can make all the rules. For now, go fuck yourself! There! That should be short and sweet enough for you.

Nice work even if it is unappreciated.

I'll add a couple of my pet peeves. If your narrator is female or you are quoting a female character please don't use words milled from porn sites. Nothing screams bullshit more than a female saying things like "I told him to take me bareback", "My husband allowed our black neighbor to breed me", "My wife announced that I am her cuckold" and the ever popular "My friend's mom sent me an email volunteering to be my fuck toy". Please.

Please don't submit six versions of the same story one right after the other after the other. If you're in the mood to submit multiple stories feel free to change up the themes a little.

Oh and for the love of god no stories with the word "poo" in them or where yet another hapless loser gets stripped so all the neighborhood girls can humiliate him by making fun of his little dick.

Great tips. I think most of the negative comments are from people who regularly do the things you list as dont's. I also liked commenter #4's suggestions.

The first three commentators need to take a reading comprehension class. These are tips, not rules. If you don't want to follow them, then don't. Easy as that. Looks like the guy is just trying to be helpful and you give him shit for it.

You kind of come off as a self-important prick. Why should anyone write anything to suit your wants and needs? If someone takes the time to share, the last thing they want is someone telling them they're doing it wrong. If you don't like a submission, you have the freedom to move along.

Except the whole piss and shit thing you mentioned. That was totally true. Nobody wants to read that shit.

I have to agree you do act like a self appointed hall monitor. You taking the time to correct everyone elses writing is kind of a dick move. I know you think you're helping but unless this is your site you're not helping. You're just like everyone else visitng. No better so stop acting like you are.

That being said will you dumbasses please learn to use proper paragraphs!

The comments are proving to be more helpful than the post. HAHA

The reality is this isn't a writing class. It's a confession site. It's a place to tell your story. It's not a place to correct the writings of others.

Again, the point of this site is the story. Let them tell their own stories.
