I wish my wife would listen to what I'm telling her and realize how unhappy I am. I've been getting rid of my personal things that I don't use or need anymore and getting down to just having a few basics that I really need. If she doesn't start talking to me soon then someday she'll come home and find a note telling her that I've given up and left.

She doesn't want to hear anything bad or face up to the fact that our marriage is over. She'd rather pretend to be blissfully ignorant than face up to the facts.

This is a common sequence. I'm 48 and went through something similar. It wasn't until I moved out that she suddenly got extremely serious about things, but I had already emotionally moved on. The thing is, people don't really change, and even when they make temporary changes because of a crisis, it's just that. Temporary changes.

You're not alone. I've been married for coming up 27 years and I haven't heard my wife say she loves me in over 20 years. Intimacy and affection is few and far between, she won't even sit on the couch with me but chooses the single recliner on the other side of the room. She also hasn't had a job for over 5 years since being made redundant. It's supposed to be a partnership but I think I'm being taken for a ride.
Time to find a new pony me thinks......

As a female I sympathise with you. A lot of women make a fuss when they are treated this way by their husbands but they don't seem to realize that men have feelings too.

invest in counseling and a Dr visit. If her hormones are out of order, she will act crazy in many ways. Makes some change and hate sex. Remember in sickness and health, so try to get her help and fix her first. Simple request she have hormones checked is fair.
Could be hormones, thyroid a number of things. Early menopause for some women go untreated. outside help can help her understand what your feelings are.
Many marriages have been saved by doing this. Some have got a much hotter wife, one with much higher sex drive. I personally have helped several work out problems.

Move out. If you are fed up but some part of you wants to fix all the problems, once lost she will realise what has she done or gone past. Unfortunately thats how it works, but then again people always say people can pretend but can't change. Just a opinion because im going through somwhat similar sutuation. Good luck and remember happiness is a Choice and only you can make it
