THIS STORY IS LONGISH, SO IF YOU DON'T LIKE LONG STORIES STOP READING NOW....

I grew up the youngest of three children in a lower middle class American family. I guess things were pretty normal at home. My father, a retired U.S. Army officer, owned property and made a living renting his handful of small homes out to lower income tenants. My mother was a stay at home mom. A real Martha Stewart. And my older sibs... my sister was a straight A student. She hyperventilated whenever she got anything so lowly as a B plus. And my brother was the neighborhood lothario. He was dating every girl on the block. As for me.... Well, you can't expect everyone in the family to be perfect.

I guess all the good genes got used up in my sibs, because I wasn't anything like them. I was a chubby, shy, awkward little kid. My dad called me a mama's boy because I followed my mother around everywhere. My brother constantly beat me at everything. My sister was always too busy for me, unless she wanted to practice cosmetology on me, making me up and braiding my hair. And mom stuffed cookies and food down my mouth every chance she got. I was the official food taster.

By my middle teens both of my older sibs had already left home. My sister to college in New York state and my brother, on his nomadic quest to 'find himself' , just a cool guy on his motorcycle going wherever the winds blew him across the U.S.A. - Dad had died of a sudden massive heart attack when I was thirteen. So it was just mom and me at home. She was dating an architect named Larry. A real douchebag. So I spent a lot of time alone. Mostly in my little fantasy world of video games, movies, comics and fan fiction. I'd become a Trekkie.

I found myself at a comic and collectibles shop in the mall one weekend. I was browsing the Star Trek stuff, and considering buying a model starship when this girl walked right up to me. She was really short, only about 5'' tall in her shoes, and she wore skater clothes. At first I thought it was a guy because her hair was so short and cut just like a boys. I immediately cringed away, because I had this thing about personal space. She didn't seem to notice.

"Oh cool, that's the U.S.S. Enterprise-B!" She exclaimed, pulling the box from my hand without even asking. "Captain John Harriman commanding. This is from the movie Generations!"
"Uh, yeah," I said, duh durrr. "I know that."
"Are you gonna buy this??"
I considered, then shook my head. "No. Fifty bucks is a little steep. I'm just going to grab a few Trek magazines and go home."
"I love Star trek," she said, "Ive been a fan since... OMG let me think, Voyager. yeah! That's my favorite show. Janeway is the best captain ever."
"Not even," I replied, walking toward the magazine rack. "Sisko is."
She followed me, debating that. I selected my magazines and went to the counter and paid for them. She was still holding the ship. The guy asked her if she wanted it.
"Oh, no...I don't got any money."
He yanked it away and she followed me out of the store.
"I havent seen you around before."
"I don't come to this mall very often," I said. "I live across town."
She followed all the way across the mall, out into the parking lot and to the bus stop, talking the entire time. When I got on the bus, she did too. I frowned slightly.
"Is this your bus too??"
"No," she smiled. "I just thought I'd come along so we could talk. Its hard finding anybody that likes Star trek as much as me."
That's not creepy at all, I thought.
So we talked all the way to my front door practically. When I stepped off the bus and she waved bye, I figured that was the last I'd seen of her. It wasn't.

About three days later my mom tapped on my bedroom door. I was listening to one of my soundtracks (Bladerunner) and writing one of my fan fiction stories. I sighed (I hated being interrupted while writing). "Yeah??"
"You've got company."
I've got what?????? I thought. Curious I got up and walked to the front door. It was the girl from the mall.
"Hi!"
"What are you doing here??" I asked.
"I came to visit you," she smiled.
"Thats nice," my mom was behind me. "You don't get company very often."
Try never. My mother invited her in, only she assumed like I did that she was a he. We went to my room where she immediately grabbed my notebook. "Wow! Whats this??"
I snatched it back. "No, no, no.... nobody reads my fan fiction. Ever."
"Then why write it??"
"Because," I said and left it at that, stuffing the notebook into a drawer.
She sat on my bed and looked around my room. "Geez, your room's kinda small. Mine's way bigger."
"Yay you."
She laughed. "Your funny. You should cosplay as a Tellarite. Your always grumpy."
My mom tapped on my door again and held out two cans of soda. We took them and my 'guest' started geeking over my soundtrack collection, my dvd collection, my magazine and comic collections. I have to admit, after a minute or two I kind of liked having someone tell me how cool I was for having all that stuff, that my dad had called useless crap when he'd been around.
I found out her name was Jennifer. She lived in our town's poorest area, with her grandparents. She didn't have a clue where her mom was, but her dad was in prison for burglary and some other stuff. She hung out with me til dusk and went home.
For the next few weeks she came by almost all the time. And I found myself enjoying having an actual friend for once. Not just a friend, but a girl too. I mean, she kind of looked like a guy the way she dressed. But I had no right to complain about that. I was a fat nerdy kid who wore glasses for myopia. I wasn't exactly a prize myself.
I guess Jennifer liked me too, because one day, sitting side by side on my bed we kissed. It just sort of happened. And my mom naturally walked in on us.
She apologized profusely and walked back out. But the mood was dead. Jennifer said bye, she'd see me later and I nodded. Later that night, my mom told me she didn't care if I was gay. She had suspected it for a while now. She loved me all the same. I groaned and walked away, slamming my bedroom door behind me.

A weekend came when mom went camping with Larry the Douchebag, leaving me at home with $100 bucks for pizza or whatever, even though the kitchen was stocked. When jennifer came by we went to the comic store to finally buy the Enterprise-B but it was sold already. So I bought her a Star Trek pez dispenser set and grabbed myself a couple posters and a soundtrack from a Japanese anime series called Great Mazinger. On the way home we got burgers and kicked back on my living room couch watching a DVD.
When the movie was over, Jennifer told me she wanted to make out. I was cool with that, so we started kissing and snuggled up together. I was hard almost immediately and she noticed.
"Let's have sex." She said.
I'd never done it before in my life. I didn't say so. I was scared to death, but wanted to too.
We went to my mom's bedroom because the bed was a lot bigger than my little twin size, and Jennifer started undressing. That was when I realized, I was going to have to get naked in front of jennifer if I wanted to lose my cherry. I felt the mother of all embarrassing blushes blossom on my face. But I started peeling off clothes.
What took my attention away from my own embarrassment was Jennifer. She'd never looked particularly feminine or curvy. But man oh man, when she ditched her "Trek Yourself Before You Wreck Yourself" Spock shirt and sports bra, she had huge tits. Bigger than my moms. I'd never suspected for a second she'd been packing boobs like that beneath her tight bras. My mouth must have dropped open, because she started giggling.
When she finished undressing she climbed up onto the bed. She had a butterfly tattoo just above the dimples at the small of her back. I thought that was really fucking cool.
Finally naked myself, and keenly aware of my unshaven bush of pubes because she was totally clean, I joined her on the bed. "Sorry about the pubes, I... didn't know this was a possibility."
"its ok," she said. "I'll just have to wait to give you head. Shave 'em for next time."
Next time?? I perked up. Head?????? Woohoo!!!
So, I - shy, introverted, awkward fat Trekkie kid, lost my virginity at sixteen. Jennifer clearly wasn't as inexperienced as myself. She curled my toes and had me mumbling shit in languages I didn't even know. When we were done, I just lie there spent, a huge grin on my face. I was king of the fucking universe.

Jennifer and I were together until I finally went away to college myself at age nineteen. We kept in touch by texting and instant messaging for a while, but the distance took its toll and eventually I got the dreaded "I'm with someone else" e-mail. It sucked, but it was hardly unexpected. truth was, I'd made a new friend at school too. But I hadn't pursued anything outside of friendship, out of respect for Jennifer. Now that she was gone, I was free to do that.

And just to fuck with my mom's head. I never have told her Jennifer wasn't a guy. I think mom likes me better gay.
