My boyfriend and I are both adopted. I think that is one of the things that drew us together as we both had gone through similar things. I'm 18 and he's 16 and we have been dating since I was 13 and he was 11. We have a lot of other things in common too. We both love art, we love the same kind of music and the same kind of movies. When we got older our friends would kid us saying that we are a perfect example of how some couples, over time, begin to look alike.

After a while I started to get curious about my birth parents. I spent a couple of years in high school researching. Last month I discovered who my birth parents were. I knew I had been adopted out at two but what I didn't know is that my birth parents also gave up a newborn baby boy for adoption. When I found out who my birth parents were I also found out that they were also my boyfriend's birth parents.

Now I know why we were so strongly drawn to each other. I carried my secret around for a week before I told him. I thought for sure he would want to back out of our relationship since it's incest but I finally got up the courage to tell him and he reacted by kissing me, like we always do, with open mouths sucking on each other's tongues and after about ten minutes he told me he had fantasized that we would discover we were brother and sister and then told me that the whole incest angle in our relationship was a huge turn on to him. It is to me too so we agreed to keep our secret from our parents and everyone else. We are planning to get married as soon as he graduates high school and we want a big family.

We both love our secret incestuous life. Another thing, after further research, I found out that our state doesn't have any laws at all prohibiting incest.

How did I get to be so friggin lucky??

I don't know if there are tests that can be done or not, but your children may not be so lucky. The probability of down syndrome, mental retardation, and physical birth defects are much higher in cases of brother and sister unions. With the thought of you two having a big family, then chances are you're going to see the consequences of having a shallow gene pool. You may want to consult a dr that deals with genetic defects before you hookup for baby making.

You need to be careful about having children, there is an extremely high chance they will suffer abnormalities (mentally and physically) and genetic problems, that's what happens when siblings procreate together. Try adopting or as the other person suggested, talk to a Doctor or specialist.

Hay, I had a friend in High School, met this girl, and got her pregnat. He was 18, she was 16. They married, had 3 kids total, and after 26 years of marrige, they learned they were brother and sister. Not always problems...
