my very good friend is a flake. she never has a dime in her pocket but dines out mor than anyone I know. her husband is an asshole who doesn't let her drive "his" car so she has to take the kids around on the bus while the audi sits in his parking space. I have been stupid enough to lend her money here and there - have never seen a dime, which I knew I never would, but damned if I don't get credit for sending her kid to camp because I felt bad for her. What a mistake. She is a classic flake. She now owes our girl scout troop for cookies - because she doesn't have a checking account to write a check for cookies. WHO DOESN'T HAVE A CHECKING ACCOUNT?? Answer, flakes.
