I just came back from my 2nd deployment to afghanistan a few months back... I lost 3 good friends during this deployment and I can't get my mind off of them. I need help but I'm too stubborn to ask for it and would rather bottle it up inside. I need to stay away from liquor since it's hard enough to lock away these emotions without it but I can't....I need help...

you do need help son.
Look, drinking won't help you resolve the issue.
It only makes you drunk and fucks up your liver and destroys a shitload of brain cells.
Phone around to crisis centers and see if they can steer you in the direction of an organization that can help you.
The VA can help you, but go see them in person. Leave weapons at home.
If your Dad is still alive, talk to him, talk to Mom, go to your church and talk to your minister, the people you trust, but talk this out.
Good luck Brother in Arms
