I'm a cop in a large east coast city for the last 15 years and work in a sector that is one of the worst in the city. Because of Obama, Holder, de Blasio and that piece of shit Al Sharpton I am slowly becoming less effective at my job. Since the two police officers were executed last Saturday I no longer rush to the scene of a crime, domestic violence or even a shooting. All these demonstrators think of the police as racist but we are just the opposite except for a very few. In New York they were screaming "what do you want"-"dead cops"-"when do you want it"-"now". So, lets see how they react when the cops don't show up when they are in trouble. Neither one of those black men killed by the cops would have died if they only allowed the police to do their job.

Your comment of not getting there in a "rush" or waiting does IN FACT substantiate, and justifies, their message and protest. You just admitted you are not serving the people because of their color, their race, or their opposing political positions. Don't pontificate the virtues of law enforcement officers when your comments, as a law enforcement officer, exposes your bias and justifies their very grievance process, which is guaranteed by the Constitution. I'm a white man, a business owner and a substantial tax payer, who believes that excessive force was used in both situations. The man was screaming I CAN'T BREATH and he was surrounded by 4 other officers. It took 9 bullets to take down one man. Aim for the legs and knees and (on unarmed men)... and let em live to face a judge. Your very post substantiate an attitude in law enforcement toward others who do not agree with your personal, political or God only knows that other believes you hold. You may not agree with the message of the protesters, but you should be bound to up hold their rights to protest and not cause harm to others who share the same color skin. And your a poor excuse for law enforcement, and a citizen, to delay emergency calls to others based on race... who may really need your assistance.
I disagree with the message and venue of protest for Westboro Baptist Church, but I defend their right to protest anywhere they choose in an effort to get their message and political position into the public forum. The news just said the shooter had a mental illness. Jim Crowe, Bull Conor and George Wallace racism is alive and well in every word of your post and, most dangerously...in your heart!

I am only going to make a short comment and then wash my hands.
Arthur, sounds to me like the foregoing 3 commenters don't feel that a Police Office has any rights. He must sacrifice his own life as a Policeman to protect another life. As an ex officer I agree do but your life on the line each and every time you put that uniform on but, sacrifice, no way. That means you must walk right out into the open and make your body a target. No way. You must take cover behind any available defense.
I'll be the first to say I'll bet each of the three would be begging for your help should they ever become threatened. GOD BLESS YOU and all Policemen who are there for our protection, not to be criticized for every action taken.

If you choose to be a cop, you should understand what that means and the dangers as well. Your job is to up hold the law, but some think they are the law and can do so as they wish, and everyone is a criminal. Very sad stuff.

It is time we all understand that it is ever citizens job to uphold the law. Hence, "Law abiding citizen". I don't know what happened in any of those situations just like Sharpton, J.Jackson, or anyone else that wasn't ther doesn't know either. But, to call for punishment for the cops just because you don't like the answer is as racist as anything else. Truth is I think Pres. Obama wants this to continue. He wants a race war. WHY? Because then he can declare civil unrest and decare "Marshall Law" until the uprising is settled. Guess what dumbasses, elections are suspended during Marshal Law. So Obama says pres untli it is settled. So don't jump on that bangwagon unless you that asshole to remain in office. Believe me I am just as sure that is what this is all about ans I am that the sun will rise and set tommorrow.

Cops today are a disgrace. This is not a black and white issue. This is about a group of people who during the course of their jobs have decided to be judges and executioners. For years cops have done this every day in small ways, its a mentality, the same as the SS officers in Nazi Germany, who burned Jews. They want power and they feel the job gives them power. They give out lots of tickets, make arrests for small minor violations (like selling cigarettes or smoking pot), and expect the citizens to give them respect. News Flash "You earn respect". Putting on a uniform and badge does not automatically earn you respect. Stop believing the media when they say all first responders are hero's. Your not! The killing of those two cops was a message. Use the killings as a warning or ignore it and continue your ways. The next step is all out civil war. The authorities can stop the protests by straightening out these abusive police forces. Fire some cops, so they don't have as much firepower and back up and you will see a change in the cops attitudes. They will become nicer, more polite and realize they work for the citizenry not against us. The founding fathers had this idea. A well armed citizenry is necessary to prevent government abuse and corruption and guarantees freedom. The police and politicians like the citizenry being put down because they feel they have more power. They ignore the protests and calls for a change to our abusive police. Brothers it will come, protests are an American right, and when ignored, results in violence.

Birmingham, Al 2012: a man was on a 20 minute, 15 mile, multiple city driving rampage. As his van turned onto I 65 it flipped throwing him out of his van. The police car cameras recording his body being tossed in the air and landing on his side in a culver. 5 of Birmingham City, and Jefferson counties finest ran to the unconscious man and began beating him with Billy Clubs, one knelt over his lifeless body and beat him in the face with his fist. For 92 seconds the unconscious man was assaulted buy officers. 2 supervisors watched with their arms folded. one full minute late another officer arrived and kicked the unconscious man in the face. Another supervisor tired to destroy the police car videos but they were made available and broadcast internationally.

Law enforcement officers are sworn to uphold the law, to protect and serve the public without prejudice, bias or bigotry. The man assaulted spent weeks in ICU and almost died. Several facial surgeries for injuries sustained in his "ASSAULT by law enforcement". The same man was sentenced to 20years for his actions and justifiably so. Not one assaulting officer faced charges, it was never considered. The assaulting officers were eventually fired, but hired immediately by neighboring municipalities. The assaulted man from Alabama prison sued and was awarded a multiple million dollar settlement in "one of the worst LAW ENFORCEMENTS assaults in this nation", per the Judge. That settlement is less than 6 months old, too.
You admit some officers are racist, and the above PROVES white law enforcement officers can beat an unconscious black man and there is ZERO consequences. I am a white man, business owner, and I have less respect for law enforcement officers than my entire life and I am justified in my reservations, and my lack of respect. Your comments confirm for me that the mentality of law enforcement is one of Judge, Jury and Executioner and any one who disagrees with you could find themselves an innocent victim with your Police State mentality. Your no different than the officers in Birmingham, Al, Ferguson, Mo, or MYC. Wait, perhaps these protest are because this is a national EPIDEMIC of abuse of power by law enforcement officers. Your comments give this white man motivation to join the protest before one of my children are YOUR VICTIMS rather than you being their protector and guardian.

12-23-2014 a Cleveland Police Office was FORCED to resign after posting a video of him saying "African-American's and Black Americans are jungle monkeys...they should never have abolished slavery....everyone of them should be exterminated...and I wish I could beat the living &8%$ out of all of them." Tell me this attitude can provide any black person equality in this man's eyes. Tell me he doesn't believe every black is guilty of whatever and whenever he chooses. More than a few in your prescient and more than one in Cleveland, and more then one in Fergusons, Mo. are racist and it effects their judgment as it relates to blacks and other minorities. Attitudes like yours and many others like you are the reason protest are here to stay! Because your born black your less than whites and are a target for renegade, racist cops - like you.

If we had a criminal justice system that worked, we would be executing career criminals and putting an end to crime that way. Or they need to be worked with hard labor in prison. 16 hours a day of hard labor and just enough to eat to live. No more of this shut. Sir, there are many many of us that agree with you. Eventually all.the lies of this administration will come to light. America really is being fundumentally transformed as was germany in the 20's and 30's. People, look at the history, it is.happening to us now. It too started with national healthcare and morphed into what it became. The potus wants complete automonmy,, absolute power and authority.
What I do not understand is how this regime is doing it, its mind boggling.
