I went to Cancun last month with two of my friends but ended up in the hospital overnight in the middle of the week. I fell down a flight of cement stairs while in my bikini and was knocked unconcious. I don't know how long I was out but woke up in the emergency room laying on a gurney and only haveing a hospital gown on. I did have a slight concousion, was dizzy and had a terrible headache. My entire body hurt and I had eleven cuts on my back legs and arms. I was sent for xrays and a catscan. After that I was wheeled into an examination room where a rather young Spanish doctor came in. It was like I was in a fog and without knowing what was going on my gown was opened and I just lay there naked. At the time I never realized there was no nurse in the room and was to groogy to notice. This doctor began at my head and commenced to perform the most humiliating examination I have ever had. The abrasions on my body were already treated but he checked every one haveing me roll from side to side and at one point had me laying face down. I hurt so bad at the time I just kept my eyes closed. I was then turned over on my back again and felt my feet being put into the stirups of the exam table. By the doctor talking in Spanish I knew there was another person in the room but didn't realize til much later it was another young man. I don't know if he was a doctor or a nurse or whatever. At that time I don't know if I realized I was totally naked and the the gown wasn't on me anymore. Then the doctor proceed to give me a pelvic exam which seemed to take forever. He not only examined me with his fingers but also used a speculum. That was the first time I actually open my eyes enough to see the two of them, still not cognascent of my complete nakedness. After he took the speculum out of my vagina he then performed a rectal exam also using a speculum. That was the first time I spoke and asked why he was doing all this. His reply was that he was checking me for internal injuries. The humiliation hit me like a ton of bricks as I was helpless laying there with two men watching as a speculum was forced up my rectum. When he was finally finished he took the gown and covered me with it before leaving the room. My friends stayed with me a few hours that night and I told them how embarrassing the exam was and how I was naked almost the entire time. The next morning I question the nurse telling her also how I felt. She just told me they were short staffed in the ER and this doctor did what he had to do. When I asked about the other guy who was in there she had no idea who he was. Don't ever get hurt or sick in Mexico.
