My next door neighbor is a single mom with a boy I think is 10 or 11 and a daughter in her early teens. I'm not sure if she spanks her daughter but so far this summer I have seen her spanking her son three times out on the back porch. Every time she bared his bottom and one time she pulled off his bathing suit and he was naked as she disciplined him. The problem is all three times her daughter was there and once, two of the daughters female friends were there and it was when the boy was naked. That poor kid not only got a spanking but I'm sure was mortified knowing his sister and two other girls were not even ten feet away. Growing up I was subjected to the same type of punishment from my aunt. She took me in when my mother was diagnosed with ALS. Fortunately I moved back with my mother and grandmother by the time I was nearly 13. My aunt was not a blood relative but rather my mothers, brothers wife. For close to three years she was cruel enough to make me undress waist down and then spank me most of the time with one of my uncles belts in the kitchen and out on the back deck many times.. She did this not only in front of two of my female cousins who were both teenagers but also did it in front of a neighbor woman and at least 2 or 3 girls from the neighborhood who were all my cousins age not mentioning some boys who witnessed it.. It was so humiliating I cried the entire time and to make matters worse I had to take off my pants and underware when she said so. To further worsen things she would hold me by the hair and scold me while I was still naked from the waiste down. I still today don't understand why a woman like my aunt or neighbor would want to embarrass a kid in such a way. When a kid is subjected to nudity in front of other people, especially other kids, I think it atrocious and tantamount to child abuse.
