I would like to thank the person that responded to my post with the words of C.S. Lewis, after reading your answer I thought about how foolish I was being and decided you were right, I had to follow through and see if my feelings were real or it would drive me mad the rest of my life. Thank you. This weekend gone by has been one of them most memorable of my life, and I have made a new very special friend.
I dropped by the minimart to see her. While I was getting ready my heart was pounding so hard I couldn't get my makeup on straight. I took a couple Valium to calm me down and I started to feel better. I was able to finish my makeup, and drove over a few minutes before I knew she would be finishing her shift. It was already late evening so things at the minimart were slow. I dropped in and fidgeted around in the section of the store where the car maintenance things are kept. I put on my best frustrated face, and kept looking at the oil with an occasional glance towards the clerk kiosk. She was there wrapping up her shift. I was nervous, but he Valium was definitely working. She started back to the employees area and would have to do right past me. She stopped and asked if she could help. I feigned confusion as to what I should do for oil and confided that I has some travel coming up and wanted to have some "just in case" things in the trunk as my father had always told me. That was enough to get things going between us.
I was surprised how easy it was to talk to her, probably the Valium working for me, her brilliant green eyes melting my heart as she explained what I needed and our conversation strayed to other things. I thanked her and confided that I was on my way to pickup some Chinese for dinner and asked if she would let me repay her kindness with dinner. She smiled and said: "Sure, I don't think my cat will mind me breaking our date."
Our dinner conversation flowed, and the evening turned late. We noticed how late when the restaurant staff began closing up around us. As we walked back to our my thoughts were only filled with thought of my new friend. I stopped at my car and fumbled for my keys. When I looked up, my eyes me hers. I thanked her leaning to give her a quick hug and kiss. My kiss was intended for her cheek, but as we embraced she placed her lips on mine. I nearly collapsed into her arms. The kiss was soft, delicate, her lips embracing mine. In that moment I knew I was probably falling for her. She took a pen and wrote her number on the palm of my hand, then kissed me again. "Please call me." were her parting words, and I did, as soon as I got home.
We talked our feelings over the phone, the night turned to early morning as we made plans for the weekend. I invited her to join me the next night for dinner and a quiet evening, and she agreed.
Dinner stretched into the night, and though the weekend. We were inseparable. We shared our secrets, our desires, and our fantasies, and our beds (now blushing again, I admit many of my most secret fantasies were fulfilled with her). We are together now most nights and I find my thoughts are constantly of her, she calls me each day to talk during lunch and she frequently texts me when she goes on a break. I have taken to opening her texts in the restroom where I can hide my blushing for a few moments. Her first text arrived during a meeting and I had to close it down before I could read it. It was complete with an intimate picture of her and what we were going to do that night. When I opened it during the meeting, I only had to catch a glimpse of the picture and I closed it up, but I was already starting to blush. Nobody know nobody saw, but all day I felt everyone knew of my new love and special friend. That night she made my cares vanish as we lived every part of her text.
I don't know what this means. Am I bi? Lesbian? I don't know, and either is a label I am willing to bear to be with Alannah. She speaks peace to my soul and now owns my heart. Thank you for your advice who ever left that quote.
