I am 65 now and I have shared my husband for over 20 years. She never was a fling. Now that we are retiring supporting two households isn't possible. We have had several meetings about combining households to save money.

We are actually contemplating getting divorced so she can get married to him and he can get her insurance. Fortunately my pension comes with good insurance.

When you get older you think differently. For me she has been a part of my life for so long and she is taken into consideration in all the decisions we make, I am looking forward to having her as company in the house, another woman, because my husband gets on my nerves now that he is retired.

Telling my mother that we are going to live together is the hardest part. She is 86 and has been on my case for all this time about allowing him to keep her around. I never allowed it, as such, I was never asked for permission.
