Do computer classes teach how to use "spell check"?
My Gosh people, get with the program!! It is really distracting to read poor spelling.
Do you not get graded for spelling anymore?
I realize a lot of these posts are from younger persons, and it sad to see that our
educational system is failing in basic teaching such as proper spelling.

I rarely read the "confessions" that are obviously posted by children (NOT that some of the adult "confessions" are much better), but occasionally, out of ennui or existential angst, I make the mistake of trying to enterpret the gist of what such a poster is trying to get at.

It is always some mewling pap about nothing at all.

Amoung my blessings, I count the fact that I didn't attempt to become a teacher.
It must be rather rare to encounter a truly gifted youngster in an entire teaching career; instead, teachers are confronted by a spectrum that ranges from cretin to average, and average now isn't what it was 50 years ago.
It is amazing and a source of some wonder that the teachers can keep their charges' attention focused for three minutes, much less the whole school day.

Spell check only works when it is available with the particular program you are using. So on this type of a page, it does no good to know how to use it. Therefore we have to rely on our spelling skills, and remember to proofread the text we enter here. Most people seem too lazy to do this - I hope that is the case, rather than people being too dumb to know how to spell.

I suspect what we have here are just one or two dummys that put up a lot of posts.

I don't know about your computer, but mine on this website definately does not have spell check. How did that post use bold, because mine doesn't have that either.

Type your "confession" in Excel or Word. Use spell check. Click & highlight, go to edit, click copy. Open the confess box, click paste.

That's a lot of work to write a confession that is just going to have a bunch of jerks comment on it. I say you can excuse a few grammatical errors but some really aren't excusable and are just annoying.

Ok I am a Teen and I can tell you now my spelling is much better than half the adults here. Stop blaming us for your bad spelling and who cares anyway! We have just as much right to come on and type our stories as you do.
