This year I turned 60. A long time and lots of memories. I am a nurse by training and have worked in health care my entire career. I am not a prude and understand that different folks have different values and needs. I bore children, part of my responsibility to society. I want my daughters to bear children. I place a high value on women who bear children. My daughter at the age of 32 finally did her duty.
I am not straight, and I am not a lesbian, I live in the in between world. I have always enjoyed having a man in me, I truly liked the feeling of having a man in me, I would say that I needed to have a man in me.
I nurture a relationship with another woman. We do not live together and I encouraged her strongly to bear children. She will tell you that I made her do it. She admits that the act of bearing a child changed her forever, there is just something unexplainable in creating a child inside of you. Anyway I can't explain it, it is just something that women have to do. Even lesbian women, and I know lots of lesbians, after all I work in a profession that his its share of lesbian women.
I admit I am on a crusade about this, procreation. It is just that I believe that women should procreate, after all that is why we are here. Our bodies were made for that, we were not really made for sex, we were made to procreate. And the feeling of your child growing inside of you can not be duplicated, or explained. When you push your child out of your body into the world you live the most intense moment of your life. I am not saying it is fun, or painless, it is definitely non of that. But the instant you baby is out of your body you get a high, that no drug can give you, no high adventure trip, not shopping craze, nothing can compare to that moment you push your baby out into the world.
Breast feeding. It is not a burden. It does not ruin your breasts. It is the most rewarding feeling to nurture your child. Having a baby at your tit, to use my mother's expression, is what your breasts were created for. Yes guys like your tits, they like to play with your tits, they like to suck your tits, in part because they are making you hot so they can screw you, but I think that men like tits because when they are at your tit, they are like little boys in mommy's embrace. Holding a man at your breast, smothering him in your breasts, feeding him your breasts, will calm him down like nothing else will. Boys, young or old, like mommy's tit.
I like sex, I always have. I college I was a late bloomer hippie, who lived with a 40 year old hippie. I was a naked pregnant hippy. I spent a lot of time with him inside of me. And that is where I became pregnant. I was young and unencumbered, and giving my body up for him to impregnate was just about the most committed act of my life. We were there to be made pregnant and make his house in his image, lots of kids, like the stories of the bible. I will say that to that man I gave every ounce of my being, my heart and my soul. When I lost him ten years ago I ached inside, my children ached to lose their father. Which brings me to the other person in my life.
She is Kathy, and she became his second wife. We, the two of us, have a deep connection, we are together in a bond that we cannot break, not that we want to. We found ourselves and we lived together and kept up an intimate relationship well into our forties, but it has ebbed until we are where we are today, two sixty year old women who are at one with each other. Kathy is the woman who I 'encouraged' to let her self be made pregnant. Our children share the same father.
Over the years, maybe because of the profession I am in, I met many lesbian women, or at least lesbian enough to want to get in bed with me. I became more and more interested in having sexual relationships with other women later in life, in my forties and fifties. I have never fought this, I have always gone where my sex drive takes me. I don't have any kind of a deep emotional attachment to these women, I am in it for the sex. Although Kathy and I don't have these intense sexual encounters any more, we do sleep together, mostly on weekends, and we are affectionate and hug and hold, we just don't get that feeling any more.
But back to the beginning, regardless of how you wish to identify yourself, or who you have sex with, your time to create a child is really limited, in your twenties is best, but now a days you can push it out into your early thirties. Just don't let time go by. If you have to surrender to it, then surrender. Nothing you do the rest of your life will replace the feeling of giving life to your child. Raising them is a lot of work, but watching your own child be pregnant and showing off her newborn to you makes every minute you spent bringing her up worth while.
