My husband is driving me nuts. He is convinced we are living in the end times and that Revelation is happening.
He says that Florida whith 4 hurricanes, Asia with 8 typhoons, worldwide earthquakes, and now volcano activity is signs of the end.
He says that the November election will be a true showing of things to come... a New World Order will occur, and that martial law will rule. The end will come when we invade Korea, and we go nuclear.
Is he nuts???

I have a theory - simply put:
"Reality" is more or less a subjective experience.

Everyone is more or less crazy.

You can see it in children as they play, and it becomes magnified with age.
Sometimes it is just noticeable enough in casual acquaintances to qualify as an "unusual trait" or a "tic", this usually occurs when we get close enough to other people to notice that they are "different" from ourselves. As this "difference" becomes more pronounced, it might be thought of as an "eccentricity". Generally "eccentrics" are, or end up as "solitaries", who are generally ignored, tolerated or forgotten until the "eccentricity" becomes a full-blown psychosis and the eccentric comes to the attention of some official agency or another.
It used to be that folks simply didn't live long enough to experience the complete "unusual trait - psychotic" range of delusion, (unless you want to include so called "Ahlzeimer's Disease" - senile dementia - but this is an organic disorder) and might live their entire lives at some stage of emotional maturity (about 13 to 16 years of age, but I digress...) and more or less arrested metastasis of the delusional side of the psyche.
There is usually some mechanism which seems to trip the balance in some people to the "eccentric" range from the "unusual trait", and to the "psychotic" from the "eccentric" - very often it is religion that provides the catalyst.
This much is NO theory - - Your husband might have a garden variety eccentric affect, or he may have some organic disorder, in any event, you should first seek the counsel of a qualified Medical Dr. to try to establish whats going on and what your course of action might be. If your husband is still within the range of reason, he might be convinced to at least check out that possibily before he goes to the time and expense of building an arc or some other impulsive activity.

On the other hand, maybe he is correct in his enterpretations on the "signs".

I really, really doubt it, and you can certainly find info on the internet to refute his claims, but if he is organically ill and/or clinically psychotic, neither you nor anyone else will be able to talk him out of his convictions.
So get with the M.D. first.

You aren't the only one dealing with a nutcase. My father is the same exact way, and he's been telling me for over 5 years now that the world is going to end very soon. I'm already picking out the asylum I plan on committing him into if I have my way. He believed so much that the world was going to end on the first day of 2000 that he stockpiled damn near everything, even gasoline! I think he's still eating the canned goods he bought from then. So yes, from my standpoint, sounds like the guy is nuts and I do believe that that does qualify as grounds for a divorce if you would like to leave him before he makes you as nuts as he is.

Read the book of Revelation in the Bible and you'll see that everything that's happening right now was written in the Bible thousands of years ago. Read it and you'll see why the end time's are near.

Is it written anywhere in the big bad book of Rev, about how these cock smoking catholics priests, will be going boy crazy in the end times. Since we are in the end times, I don't have to worry about my credit being bad.

I don't know about the hurricanes/earthquakes etc. but with the re-election of George Bush the invasion of almost anywhere is on the cards for sure.
