I have twin boys age 8. They are the joy of my life. The problem is with my wife. I know she thinks it is cute but I don't like it when she dresses them the same all the time. Yes they are twins but they are individuals also. There birthday is in November and they are both huge Michael Vick fans so I was going to get them a Vick jersey. I want to get one in red and one in black but I am half afraid the wife will have a meltdown.
All comments and advice welcome.Thanks

This is no time to continue being afraid of the wife. One red and one blue. It's as good a place as anywhere to start.

I don't know from experience because I'm not a twin but if I was, I would rather be an individual. I say go for it and get different colored jerseys. The kids will be better off for it.

I realize the boys are only 8, but have you ever thought to ask them how the prefer to dress? You'd be surprised, but sometimes twins, even after they've grown up, like to dress the same! I know that's a bit strange for adults, but these are kids we're talking about.

All the same, I'd ask the boys what they think of the situation (when mom's not around).

Also, isn't something as trivial as how the kids dress a little weird for your wife to be freaking out about? I mean, as long as mine are clean and presentable, that's all I care about. Sounds like your gal may have some other issues...

Good idea. But Michael Vick? Come on. A nice Donovan McNabb green 5, and shining new white 5 will surely brighten their day!

Your sons will sort themseleves out as they get older, but the real problem that you have to deal with is your fear of your wife. That is very unhealthy in a marriage.

Aren't they your kids too? Buy them whatever you want.
