I wasn't sure where to put this, but, well, here we go...

So my wife is about 7 years younger than me and looks a ton like that one actress Nicola Peltz, you know, the daughter in that 4th Transformers movie. They aren't 100% identical, but close enough you'd swear they were sisters, even with identical body types. She doesn't seem to age and I often joke with her about how I'm married to a hot young starlet. It annoys her because she can't stand the actress and think she's terrible, but I chuckle. My wife is freaking hot and so far doesn't seem to age. She's 28 and still looks like, well, how Nicola Peltz looks.

For as long as I've known her she was never close to her mother. Her mother was an alcoholic and a doper. I have nothing against someone smoking some green now and then, but my mother-in-law, well, she was never sober. She was even an embarrassment at our wedding, which I always felt bad about because I talked my wife into letting her come. Alcohol, pot, pills... you name it, my mother-in-law was probably on it. She finally passed away a couple months ago. I say "finally" which sounds terrible, and it is, but she must have seriously been hurting from something to let her life get so damaged and to do nothing to fix any of it, not even attempt to repair her relationship with her daughter. My wife and I had been married 3 years at that point, and when her mother passed there was some relief there but also, naturally, she was upset. And then I found out why. All this time I just thought it was because her mother was an addict, but there was some deeper damage there.

When she was 15 her mother started dating this black guy. I don't say that as anything discouraging to black people, it's just the way this happened to be. She didn't go into too much detail about how her mother met the guy, but I guess this guy was her mother's dealer and he was pretty abusive. Smacked the shit out of her mother a lot. He was in and out of jail, before landing in prison for a serious crime. My wife said he was with her mom for about 2 years and it was the worst two years of her life. And it was because it didn't stop at her mother, but that she was abused, too, physically and sexually. Her mother apparently either let it happened or was too doped up to care. Either way, she stated her mother was definitely aware it was going on.

I told her she didn't have to share this, but she wanted me to know so she could put it behind her. I would think after what happened she wouldn't be as sexual a creature as she is, but she tells me I'm not him, she enjoys sex and being my wife she enjoys it with me. She doesn't want to let what that asshole did ruin a beautiful thing that she could have with others... however, now I feel weird when we make love, like I shouldn't be doing it.

I guess it started pretty fast when her mom started dating this guy, that she was forced to perform oral on him. This went on for a few weeks, and then he wanted more. After a few months he would ask her if she loved him. She would tell him yes. It was around that time he started smacking her around if she turned him down. Eventually, she convinced herself she did love him and that was the way of things: her and her mother sharing a guy who routinely smacked them around because he got off on it. Seriously, I don't know what became of this guy but I hate him something fierce. She said when she lost her virginity to him she asked him to wear a condom, and he said no, slapped her, then fucked her and came inside her telling her she was going to take his seed and love it. He even made her say how much she loved it as he was coming.

I don't really feel comfortable going more into this, but a lot of stuff happened and she had it rough. I hope someone handled him in prison. I have a hot, strong, amazing wife... who I feel weird about making love to now because of this asshole.

I sympathise, but if you love your wife you'll be okay with it eventually. It's good that she trusted you enough to tell you.

you shouldn't feel weird about anything.. She trusted you enough to handle it like an adult and just let her vent on you. She has come to terms with her past and wanted you to know all of her and who she is and what shes been through.. you need to know that shes the same woman she was before. if you treat her differently because of it, it may make her feel like less of a woman than before you knew and she will feel ashamed of it. it isn't her fault it happened, she should never have to feel ashamed of herself for it.
