I finished my masters degree and through the school I got a job at a large metropolitan museum. And it paid, not much but it paid, so I took the job. At the museum I met a woman who worked there part time, as a volunteer. It was love at first sight. I observed her, but she wore a wedding band and solitaire and obviously had a lot of money so I kept my distance and just dreamed. Until the day we worked together. It was instant chemistry, we got along real well and despite the difference in age we became friends. Her husband was much older man, a spine surgeon, and she was his second wife.

Over various conversations, I slowly came out to her, very slowly. Until one afternoon, we were in the basement and she put her arm around me and told me I could be honest with her, that she knew from the moment she saw me, and she kissed me. She held me and told me it was her secret to keep if I kept her secret and she kissed me again.

We became lovers, more than lovers, I fell completely in love with her. We shared everything. Her husband pretty much left her alone, once in a while he expected her to be close with him, but he was a workaholic who was never home. The benefits of being married to him allowed her to live a very comfortable lifestyle. She had met him through a group of friends.

At a party she had at he house, I met a friend of her husband's. He was in his fifties, divorced, with a successful ship brokerage company. He came on to me. We discussed him several times and she told me that he was a fish worth having, like her husband, he was one hundred percent into his business and he just wanted a young woman to display. But, and the big but, was not to play unless he wanted to get married.

I got married, not because he was interested in getting married, but because on my first outing with him I got pregnant. It was an accident, I was not on any kind of birth control, and I was pretty sure I was in the safe zone, so when he became rambunctious, I gave in. At the time I didn't tell him I was unprotected, but in the end it didn't matter anyway, I got pregnant. It was big embarrassment for his family, and after a whole lot of discussions back and forth, I told him I wanted to be married when the baby was born. What happened afterwards was OK. I signed a prenup and got married.

Except I never got divorced, and I had two more kids and he moved us into a house he bought out of town, and I was living a dream life. A lot of his friends had wives that were younger and there were lots of kids and I was married.

It is ten years since I got married and I got together again with my lady love in a serious way. It is like the years melted away, we fell back in love. We keep our secret, just like we promised that afternoon down in the basement of the museum.
