Reading posts in all sections of this site, it does not take a genius to spot the ones placed by Americans i.e. beginning with ok, a liberal usage of the word like, atrocious spelling & grammar etc. and with the overall impression of being composed by a 7 year old. Are all these posts created by a small group of adolescents in puberty trying to express themselves (which is not an excuse), or are most of you uneducated illiterates?

What is atrocious spelling? in school the teacher always marked mine as spelled, (wrong) never heard of the word atrocious.

Our teachers don't learn us proper. Send us along to the next grade's teacher to be their problem.
Hell, as long as we can play sports,x box, or work at a dead end low paying job to make gas money, why is spelling so important?
If our lack of education doesn't keep us working, we can always get un- employment, food stamps, welfare.....

I really think the Americans are on the brink of showing the NAZIs a thing or two about the meaning of facsism.
This is what happens when a high concentration of completely clueless dumbasses are set loose with money and power and BIG BOMBS - under the hypnotic sway of a rather shadowy group of "neoconservative" political wonks and corporate crooks - nominally chieftained by an airheaded former cheerleader, an erstwhile admittedly alcoholic/coke head ne'r-do-well - who now speaks with "God".
It was rather revealing that a majority of Bush supporters still believed that Saddam Hussein was involved with 9/11/01 when they voted 11/2/04. But then, they didn't really care whether SH had a damn thing to do with it, did they?
You really can fool most of the people most of the time - especially when they are so blithely mislead.

Not having the benefit of a correct basic education is not so bad, as the intelligent folk after finishing school, will soon realise and seek to learn what they need.
I live on the island of Cyprus where the standard of education is very high amongst the predominant Greek Cypriot population, but a bigger race of simple minded morons you will have to travel a very long way to find.
A very appropriate proverb is; You cannot make a silk purse from a sow's ear. They are merely educated peasants, or as suggested to me recently; Arabs with shoes.

From visiting this site periodically, I tend to think there are a lot of rather young people posting here- perhaps even a slight majority.
Most of these youths seem to be posting with the hopes of illiciting a response from their peers in the hope of some online flirting - the realization of which would seem to occur somewhat rarely(thankfully - from my personal point of view), and communicate in jargon familiar to them.
Others are posts from online trolls or others who are simply trying to get a rise from someone, anyone, to get some communication in their probably quite vacuous personal lives.
There are just enough interesting and/or considered posts, presumably from adults or thoughtful adolescents to keep the site engaging; the <I>juvenilia</I> and troll fodder is quickly and easily spotted and just as easily dismissed, or appreciated, accordingly.
If you are trying to come to a conclusion about Americans in general, you barking up the wrong tree.
Having travelled widely, I have found that there are a lot of people with subjectively boorish habits and base attitudes, and their distribution is by no means limited to any one locality.
There is a general tendency to be suspicious and derisive of anyone outside one's own social milieu, and that attitude is rather ubiquitous - from Borneo tribesmen to Hamptons millionares.
Bear in mind that this is a free site, and as such, attracts a broader spectrum of comments from a diverse audience than a more self-selective weblog or a subscription site.
Perhaps, for your own continued or enhanced enjoyment, you might consider the possibilty of becoming more discerning in which posts you choose to linger over, and those that might be more easily dismissed.
