What I want to say is that sometimes the person you are going to share your life with is right in front of you and you don't even know it.

A short back story. I grew up with a very dysfunctional mother. She discovered she was a lesbian after she had me and for the first eight years of my life we lived with her partner. They fought constantly and at times my mother's partner called me an unwanted spawn and that she could not understand how my mother had let a man fuck her. I wasn't even eight and she constantly threw in my mother's face that she had let a man fuck her. My mother shielded me but it wasn't enough.

Two houses down lived a girl my age, she was in a normal family, father and mother and two kids. I spent all my time over there. I spent the night over there a lot and Michelle and I would sleep in her bed. Even after my mother and her partner split I spent all my time at Michelle's. We were tight as tight can be, two peas in a pod, girlfriends for life. When we sat together we always sat beside each other, at school, at home, in the car, at the movies and we slept together, we cuddled and spooned. At that time we just thought we were sisters.

After we finished college, she got a degree in fashion merchandising and I got a degree in communications, we left our town and moved to the nearby city to get jobs and live together. At my job I met a man, he was a mid forties man who was very kind to me. One day I told him about my mother and he called me over to sit on his lap and he held me for over an hour and told me he was going to take care of me. I had never been held by a man and it felt good. He caressed me and told me he was going to take care of me from then on.

He took me home with him and we had sex, it was my first time and I enjoyed it tremendously. I slept in his arms all night. In the morning I realized I had not called Michelle and when I called her she was inconsolable. As much because I had not let her know I wasn't coming home, but more so because I had gone with a man. She didn't want to sleep with me so she didn't have to hold me at night, she fixed her own dinner. I was devastated, one moment I was in the most secure place I had ever been in, and the next Michelle was so angry she wouldn't even let me tell her I loved her.

I told my coworker, and he decided to come over and meet Michelle and talk to her. He told her to get along, never ever to leave the bed, that no matter what she was never to sleep away from me, she had to accept that as women we were going to want the company of a man, and it just so happened that he was that man. I became pregnant. When I was four months, he was at our place having dinner and Michelle was still distant and difficult, she acted better when he was around, but she would become moody when he wasn't there. She was still hurt.

He sat her down and told her that we were family, and that he was going to take care of us and we were going to look after him and it was the right time for us to have children, both of us. That night he stayed the night and he insisted on her sleeping with us and he put her in the middle and held her tight so she couldn't move. He told her to hold me and feel my belly and that soon she was going to be growing a belly of her own. He made love to her that night and made love to her a whole lot more and she became pregnant.

We moved to a house and he had us both quit our jobs. We struggled with the newborns. He put more kids in us, we stayed home, we lived with each other 24/7, all we did for those years was have children. We were busy, all day. At night, when we were able to be alone I went to sleep on her shoulder, and then she turned to hold me. We slept the same way we slept when we were kids, she hugged me and I slept in her arms.

We are together, we started when we were in the second grade and after all these years and five kids we are together, closer and tighter than ever before. We don't work, he takes care of us, and we look after him. He lives in town and comes out for the weekends and holidays. We know what we are, we don't advertise it or talk about it, but we know. In away we have always known, from that very first day we snuggled up in her big bed and she put her arms around me.

Michelle has always been the person I am destined to share my life with.

It seems like 50% of the lesbian stories on here are about two women who are super by a guy to think they need him rather than just be together. In this case, it seems like neither of you girls were really getting anywhere besides cuddling so you seem more straight and unsure what to do with men than lesbians who put up with a guy. Everyone wants sex eventually so you were bound to need it from someone and I think your friend was getting her feelings of losing her BFF confused with lesbian love.

You have a weird definition of love, it sounds like you two comfort one another since you both are being controlled by a male influence.
