My God people, my fellow Americans. What the fuck is wrong with us. We know the problems we have in our country but since recently every time we have the chance to change them we fuck it up worse. Once we were the light of the world. Almost like a super hero, fighting for the good of all man kind. Saving the world of great horrors, now we let the greatest evil become leaders of our nation. I can't believe that just 60 years ago we saved the world (yes, yes, with a wee little help for the brits)from one of the greatest evils the world has seen only to become that great evil. The sick part is we say God leads us. Truth is, God grieves for us. We by re-electing the puppet and electing an all conservitive congress killed for oil. When we toppled the taliban, that was good. Invading a country to no threat to us for oil was horrificly stupid. No matter what you dumbed ass, nascar loving, fat hill billies say. We really fuck up this time.

America has never been "the light of the world".
It has been drummed into most Americans that this lie is the truth - since you were in elementary school... but it just isnt so.
All the misfits and malcontents and greedy exploiters from the rest of the world have gravitated to the USA since its colonial times, and then they started importing all the slow and/or witless and/or unlucky Africans they could buy to use as slaves.
America is a country rich in natural resources and natural beauty and, unfortunately, an unscrupulous, cynical and hypocritical "boss" class - aided and abetted by a cheerfully approving semiliterate class - that is long overdue for a major comeuppance.
You might have learned your lesson from Viet Nam, as did France(but then, they had a "reinforcing" lesson in Algeria),but no.
You are determined to try to shove your lamentable "way of life" on everyone a la "George Bush" style foreign policy.
A simple lesson really - <I>the road to hell is paved with "good intentions".

I can agree with the unlucky part, but why do you assume that the Africans brought here as slaves were slow or witless? Many of the enslaved men were prisoners of war. Others were skilled farmers and craftspeople whose expertise was recognized by planters in Georgia, South Carolina, Maryland, and many other rural agricultural areas. Our image of slaves as unskilled workers is based on the GWTW myth of the Old SOuth as all large plantations with 300+ slaves. Most slaves lived and worked on small farms. And especially in North Carolina and urban areas, they might be the only slave in the household. You had to be smart to survive under such circumstances. I have a lot of admiration for those slaves who made it through the Middle Passage and managed to build lives under unimaginably harsh circumstances. They were no more slow or witless than the Taino who didn't kill Columbus when he stepped off the boat or the Polynesians who greeted Captain Cook.

Believe it or not. Before Bush made a mess of everything, the world did look towards America for much of everything. A blue print of democracy, military, and leadership. (Well the world couldn't argue with such a large power.)We were looked apon greatly from most nations up intill little Bush got into office. Now America has no credibility.

Thank you poster 1934, some people need to see things coming from the correct perspective. In my opinion, by him/her using the description of "slow or witless" he was trying to take away the compassion of inhumanity and putting the "blame" on the slaves, as if to say tuff luck.

Now, I hate bush. I am so annoyed that he got back in. Why? I want this war to finish and the soldiers back home.

Bush and his administarion should be taken out and slaughtered like a bunch of Goddamn pigs.Before you trust any of these oil motherfuckers,just remember that back during the depression,GM,Firestone,and Standard Oil, all conspired together to eliminate or local mass transit systems.(of course,so that we would have to buy more cars tires&oil/gas).Having everyone drive around in cars is great if your one of them,or maybe a plastic surgeon. Now everyone wonders why America doen't have an extensive mass transit system like Europe,when in fact we did before the early 1930's................................................... ......Don't Be Concerned.....Tables Will Turn...........
