I just want to talk about Gina.

I was 19 when I started to have some very scary pains in my abdomen, and they got worse. I lost a lot of time at work and I was told that if I couldn't take care of my health problems that I had to quit. In a desperate attempt to save my job I asked to speak to one of the executives.

He heard me and got very concerned. He asked me a lot of personal questions, I just told him the truth. He told me that I needed to see a doctor, like that day. I didn't have insurance, my job didn't include benefits. He picked up the phone and called someone and asked for an appointment for me. He told me to go, he would worry about the fee.

He called Gina. Gina is his sister. She is a woman's doctor. When Gina saw me and examined me she told me that I needed to get well or I would lose my ability to carry a baby. I told her that I didn't care because I was a lesbian. She said she was a lesbian too and she would never want to lose the ability to have a baby. That losing your womb was like loosing an eye or a breast. She was going to save my womb and one day she was going to deliver a baby for me.

I had to have surgery, which she performed, and then I had to recuperate. She took me home with her, and she hired a medical aid to come and stay with me during the day and she took care of me at night. Her brother paid all the bills, she didn't charge for her services. At night she stayed with me in my room until I was well enough for her to feel that I could sleep alone.

When I was well and getting around ok, she told me that she wanted me to stay with her and go to school. She had talked to her brother and he was going to pay for school but I was going to live with her and she was going to take care of me. I went to a dentist because I hadn't seen a dentist since I was like eleven. I got braces to straighten out my teeth. She got me contacts. She liked me better like that.

Every night she came to my room to say good night and make sure I was ok. Sometimes she would sit on my bed and talk to me, she wanted to know everything about my classes. And one night she touched my face and said that I was so beautiful, that she wanted to hold me and rock me to sleep. She kissed me and she slept with me. The next morning she told me she loved me. I slept with her after that and we made love. I could feel her love for me and I tried to love her back just as much.

After I graduated from college we went on a three week trip to Europe. We made love every night. When we got back she told me I was a healthy woman and she saw no reason why I could not have a baby. She asked me if I would accept being her brother's girlfriend to have a baby, she was sure he would be glad for me to be his girlfriend. It took nine months for me to get pregnant, but I had a successful pregnancy and a healthy baby. When I was ready for my second baby it only took a month for me to get pregnant. I am a stay at home mom and look after the house.

Gina wants to get pregnant, she is 38 now and we are talking about donors. She obviously can't get pregnant from her brother, but we will figure it out.

I just want to say that I love Gina more than anything. She and I have said this to each other many times, that first day when I told her I was a lesbian and she told me she was a lesbian we were meant to be together. It was my first time telling a stranger I was a lesbian and she told me that she had never told anyone, I was the first person she said it out loud, coming out and admitting it to someone. She came out to me.
