I just received my 2004-2005 teaching evaluation in the mail. My principal gave me a 3 out of 5 rating (a 3 is satisfactory with need for progress). From what I read, he had only two specific complaints: first, that I was late for homeroom twice and secondly, that I had low ratings on ratemyteacher.com. I am very upset. I was late for HR when I had morning sickness during my first trimester. As for the ratings, this website is completely informal and when I read the ratings, they all sound like they were posted by illiterates. This evaluation won't stop me from teaching and I feel like I have plenty of good letters from parents and students to counterbalance it, but it makes me mad!
