Being a lesbian all my life I have come to realize that there are lots of different types. Some so brazenly out there and others like me who want the finer things in life. Having a husband doesn't bother me, having children, being his wife, being a daughter-in-law, being on the PTO, hanging up my career to raise children, none of that bothers me or changes my love of women, or I should say love of this one particular woman who has been with me for over ten years. Like me, she is married with a husband and kids and takes care of her home.
We don't need to be in the sack to be together. We get a huge amount of our needs filled by just being together, sharing family time, cooking together for our families on Holidays, shopping together. Yes, there are times when we have a glass of wine and there is a moment when I crawl over to her and kiss her and we end up making love, that happens but it is not the norm, it is the exception. I love her, I have been in love with her for ten years now. When I met her I knew she was the one. I was married and she was single, still teaching school. She met her husband at one of our parties, she got married and she has two children and she is one happy housewife and so am I.
Don't lump us together, we are all not alike. Being a lesbian for me is a wonderful thing, I can love a woman, not just be her friend. I can make love with her, enjoy the most tender moment. I know her, head to toe, and back again, we are lovers but we are much more than that. And if you ask us what we are, we will tell you we are mothers, wives and daughters, long before we will say we are lesbians.
