Nudist Mom?

A few weeks ago I discovered some nude pictures of my mom. I wasn’t snooping. They just happened to be in an envelope right there on the book shelf.
They were taken back at the beginning of summer from a trip that my mom and her friend Jan – both divorced – had taken down to Mexico for a couple of weeks. There is nothing sexual about the pictures, they just show my mom standing outdoors by a wall and some green plants and sitting in a white wicker chair relaxing.
Mostly I’m just surprised that my mom went nude on this vacation because I had no idea that she was any sort of a nudist, which is fine with me. I’m just not sure if I should say anything, and how she would feel about her son knowing about this. Any advice?

Obviously it doesn't sound like your mom is trying to hide anything since the photos were right there. Of course this might have been an oversight on her part not to pyt them away. Still, the fact that she went on a nudist vacation would seem to imply that she desn't have a lot hangups about this. You might just casually mention that you happen to see the photographs and you thought it was nice.
Who knows? maybe she'll invite you along on her next vacation.

She was probably trying to attain some freedom and being undressed is one expression.
There another possibility of tanning or having a lover each or a three way sex.
Mexico is unlike Caribbean or some North African nation where some women go for sex with Mandingos or Moroccans Algerians or even some other African nation.
Who sent the envelope is a leading factor. Was it her friend or a lover? Why were photos taken at all and sent so sincerely?
A nudist vacation does not demand a selfie. You can politely ask her without being too obvious but trying to be rather cautious about her getting blackmailed if she is not careful.
Then see her response.Something might develop between the two of you- either a special trust or consensual sex.

3rd post- it's no longer private when photos are taken and sent.
Is a photo meant for narcissistic satisfaction?

Response to comment no 3, your comment is wrong private photos should be locked away or well hidden not left on a shelf for anybody to see obviously she wanted them to be seen, think again about what you commented.
