I Never Dreamt I Would Be In The Million Dollar Club

Realtor issue. I was showing a house to an out of town man and he took advantage of me. I searched but I never found him, anywhere. Basically whoever he is he set me up and got what he wanted.

For the next several years I struggled to make a living, commissions being what they are. A man called me, said I was referred. He wanted to see an upscale house. I really struggled with meeting up with him but a commission on that type of home helped me go out there. We looked at a couple of other houses, he bought one and I earned the largest commission ever.

He referred me to his office manager who used me on all transfers and new hires. I continually made six figures, I got a couple of other companies as clients. I had to bring on associate agents, the city we are in is a growth engine city. I never found out who the referral was from, just a man he met on a plane.

I want to make sure I read this right. Your opening paragraph suggests some unknown to you man made and appointment with you when you were a struggling new agent. And this man "got what he wanted" during the showing. Now that's a little ambiguous, Nelda. Read one way, it sounds like he might have pushed you down on a bed, ripped off your panties, and r**ed you. Read another, he lead you on and sampled your charms based on promises of a quick sale and a large commission, but ducked out on you shortly after he convinced you to whore yourself out.

Fast forward a few years and another man seeks you out based on the recommendation of some unknown person on an airplane. And now you're questioning whether the man giving the referral that launched your career is the same one that took advantage of you when you were starting out.

Is that the correct read?

Awesome. Congratulations. You probably did something right somewhere. Best of luck.
