I Rip Off Sex Workers
While it's been a while, I used to scam sex workers.
First, I lived in a community that had an ordinance banning tipping sex workers while they were naked. So the strip clubs in the area came up with "stripper bux" They were basically monopoly money you would buy at the door and use to tip the strippers. At the end of the night they would turn in their "stripper bux" to the management who would pay them 50 cents for every one you got. You could buy ones, fives and twenties. The more you bought the cheaper it was. Fifty ones would cost you $40. A hundred would cost you $75 and so on. Similar deals for higher denominations. You were expected to tip the girls at least a dollar if you wanted to sit in certain parts of the strip club. A private dance would cost you 20 stripper bux. An hour in a fantasy booth would cost you 500 stripper bux and you could do almost anything with the girl.
So I kept a one, five and twenty and took them home and looked at them carefully and found out they were easy to counterfeit. I just bought the right color weight paper and used a color copier to make them at a cost of about 20 cents for six of the twenty bux notes. I tried them out the following weekend and found the girls didn't look twice at them. Basically I got about $375 worth of prostitution services for under a dollar in paper and ink. I did this every weekend for the seven years the place used stripper bux. I probably got about half a million dollars worth of services from those whores for perhaps less than a thousand dollars in ink and paper.
On another occasion, though this only happened once, I had two hookers come over to my place the weekend I was moving out. I'd already moved all my stuff out except for the bed, dresser and an old dining set and I didn't want any of those things. So I gave the pair $2000 up front and after three hours of fun they went to use my bathroom as I expected. They left all their clothes in the bedroom and their purses on the dining table. While they were in the shower together I threw on my clothes, snuck in the bathroom and took their towels. Then I grabbed their clothes and purses and the few things I had of mine and even all the sheets, blankets and pillows from the bed and ran out to my car with all of it and drove off to my new home 45 miles away in another state. My old landlord didn't have my new address and was on vacation for another three weeks and had thought I already moved out. I didn't tell the hookers of my real name and the phone number they had for me was for a burner phone. The next day I read about two naked women running down the street crying who were arrested by police for public indecency. I found not only my $2000 in their purses but another $5000 and a bag of cocaine that I flushed since I didn't do coke. I used their credit cards to buy about $2500 in phone sex services over the next month using a burner phone and only stopped when the card was canceled.
I once placed an add in an adult magazine advertising in vague terms, illegal porn videos for sale. Over 300 people answered the ad. I sent fliers to all of them describing the products in detail using photos of adults I copied out of adult magazines but I altered them to make them look like illegal porn. I offered videos at $100 a piece for 30 minute videos and had 75 descriptions with titles and offered them at six for $500 and 15 for $1000. I got over 200 orders in the mail for a total of $60,000 and all sent cash. The address they sent it to was at a neighboring tenement building with twenty tenants all sharing the same male box and I used a fake name like I did in the ad. Not one person noticed that I didn't live there because it was a low rent neighborhood where everyone minded their own business. Of course I never sent any of the videos because there were none to begin with. It was a scam. I was actually shocked by just how many people were willing to buy that kind of smut. That works out to 200 out of a readership of 18,000 and if you do the math that's about 1.8 million men in the United States who would be willing to pay an average of $300 to buy illegal porn videos that I can't describe here. No. I don't feel guilty for stealing their money. That's $300 they can't use to buy the real thing.
I used to get free porn videos mailed to me by companies who wanted me to review the videos. I had a web site 25 years ago where I would review the videos. But I got so many that I spent all my time watching them and didn't have time to review them. At first they were vhs but then dvds. I did that for years and never spent a dime on porn. I don't bother any more since free porn is all over the place on the internet.
My worst scam though was when I visited other countries and hired hookers off Craigslist and paid in counterfeit currency from a third country that I was not from, never been too and not the one I was visiting. Currency is often accepted by hookers from other countries if they are familiar with the exchange rates and exchange is easy in their country. This is especially true in tourist towns. I probably got over a million dollars in free hooker services over the years in other countries using counterfeit currency from countries that don't have anti counterfeiting measures. When it's dark hookers often don't look that carefully at the money. They just see a big handful of bills and the numbers add up and they just go for it. I only did this in countries where prostitution was illegal knowing the whores were not going to complain to the police about being ripped off.
Speaking of counterfeiting, many people do not know that most fast food restaurants will take coupons and discount cards for their competitors. When I traveled I used to have a bunch of fake ones for various fast food chains with me at all times. Employees at one chain won't know if the coupon for their competition is real or not. So I would go in with a coupon for a free drink and fries with the purchase of one sandwich or sometimes the deal would be three for the price of one. Almost every time they would go for it. I would go in and ask if they accepted competitor's coupons and if they said yes I'd pull one out and they would almost always apply it to my order. Basically I always ate half price everywhere I went.
