Discovering Something New

First off, I never thought I would be in a romantic relationship with another female. She and I were best friends in college. She got married two years ago and she and her husband were transferred to Austin late last year. I helped her settle here and really enjoyed seeing her and renewing our friendship.

With the lockdown difficulties we have formed a friends pod with her and her husband. At one of our afternoon gossip sessions she leaned over and whispered in my ear "I love you". Well I love her too, you know like you love a friend, your cousin, but she kissed my cheek and restated that she "really" loved me. I eventually gave in, let myself be loved in the romantic sense, between the sheets. We have all day, her husband works in an essential job and is gone all day.
