I live alone and only use one of my two parking spaces. I literally gave one of my parking spaces to my neighbors across the street (the homeowner and his roommate) when I moved in 3 years ago. All I expected in return was a little friendly neighborliness, and apparently that was a ridiculous expectation on my part. Instead of being appreciative of having off-street parking when their two-garage garage is full of junk and not used for parking at all, one of them has openly snubbed me for the last 2 years (and has never indicated what I did that upset him; I'm so terrible he can't say hello, but that didn't stop him from using my property), and the other one started harrassing me about 9 months ago because I expected to be able to use my second parking space whenever I wanted. You know, because I paid for it and all. I need it like once a month. He didn't like having to share with me. Whenever I'd request my use of it (and I would try to be really nice and polite about it in case I was doing something wrong), he'd be all immature about it, roll his eyes and pout. Then he'd slam the dumpster outside my window at 2:30 in the morning and yell unpleasant things up at my window (which is open because I like fresh air). And I get the impression he thinks I don't know its him. Duh! Well now he doesn't have to share with me as I kicked him out of the parking space. I don't know what these two are used to, but I'm not going to put up with this AND give them what they want. I should mention I'm a woman living alone dealing with two grown men acting like jerks over a parking space.
Now the one who was snubbing me is running around badmouthing me, and one by one the rest of the neighbors have stopped talking to me and are now openly snubbing me and giving me the stink eye whenever they see me. I last saw this kind of behavior in 7th grade. The one who was harrassing me is now letting air out of my tires and I feel lucky that's all he's doing.
I hate these people!
