No Controversy

How common is bisexuality among women? I would have to say that it is quite common, and long has been. Certainly it is nothing new.
When I was growing up I have a number of homosexual experiences with other girls. And yes, I was even accused of being a lesbian. Of course I was made to feel that this was some sort of terrible deviant behavior, although it was simply something that I enjoyed.
I went on and was married for twenty years, and then divorced, all in the typical fashion. Then, being single again, I found it quite easy to find other women who were open to being discretely bisexual and that this was hardly uncommon. In fact, I would have to say quite widespread.
It was not until the last five years that I decided to think of myself as being openly bisexual as just a part of who I was, that I started to feel good about myself, by putting aside intimidation and embarrassment and social labeling. No, I can’t speak for the other four billion women in the world, only for myself.
But for the last three years I have quite happily had a steady bisexual friendship with another woman, also divorced. This is just so nice, uncomplicated and easy to enjoy.

You are not having a bisexual relationship.

You are having a lesbian relationship with a woman ,both having has heterosexual relationships as well. You both are still open to heterosexual relationship.

Be happy about this marvellous life. Just be careful and don't go down the spiral of multiple hetero or homo sexual affairs as society isn't ready for it.
Additionally, we are humans and not stray dogs on the streets in some poor nation.

I wouldn't say it is more common with women than within men. But because women are more open about it than men, it feels like that it is more common.

This is interesting bias, but it has historical reasons to be so. There was a time, when people knew that women liked each other, but it wasn't a topic. But, homosexuality (among men) were real topic and sin. Men might get death sentence, but women got only a beating, or not even that. Homosexuality between men have been hush hush, while sex between women, were "free love", in todays world.

There's another funny and interesting bias of it too. When men thought about homosexuality, it was between men, and it was horrible sin. But lesbian women were just free pass for threesome! Of course, that is far from the truth, but it shows how biased this topic have been in the past.

Studies says that about 20% of men and women are bisexual. Now, people often misunderstood this completely wrong.

When I'm talking about bisexual person, I mean that it doesn't matter at all which sex is more important to him or her. Real bisexual people don't care about sexes.

But, when talking about bisexuality in wider perspective, about 70% of men and women are somewhat bisexual.

To simplify it, it goes like this.

5% Gay. (they marry and fall in love with same gender)
20% Bisexual (they marry whoever they fall in love with.)
40% Bisexual "Bi curious", but more towards their own gender. (they marry opposite gender, but they may fall in love with same gender and they would like to have sex with same gender more)
70% Bisexual "Bi curious", but more towards opposite gender (they marry opposite gender, they fall in love with opposite gender and they like sex with opposite gender more).
The rest are heterosexual, who might think bisexual sex, but would not consider doing it in real life.

This is the same for men and women.
