Now I Know She Always Knew

I work for a family business. I am the bookkeeper. It's a couple from Latin America, they came here thirty year ago. The business has been really good, it is in restaurant supply. Last week the husband had a heart attack, he is back home and ordered to keep bed rest. The wife has me working from home, their home so that I can look after him while she works at the business.

I heard her tell their daughter who is twenty four that he is in good hands because I love him. When the daughter wanted more information her mother told her I was her father's lover and right now I needed to look after him for a while until he is well.

We were lovers years ago, now we are close but because of his age we haven't been lovers for several years.
