You're right, it is no guarantee. In fact, lots of the nut-balls move to the country, joining the ones that are already out there. You need about 60 acres to protect yourself from neighbors and even then, one of them will find a way to do something annoying like dumping garbage on your property or cutting trees without your permission. Bottom line, a$$holes are everywhere.

Yup, we live next to one too. We've been living in the country for 10 years and someone bought alot of ground next to us and they build right next to us when they could have built way on down further. They are definately City Slickers and recently got a Barking Dog. They put him in the pin next to us and then leave for the day and let him back all day long.

You got that right. We live on 5 acres and so do the neighbors but they might as well be upstairs or 6 feet away for all the peace and quiet we get. They think that living in the country means they can make BIGGER and LOUDER noises than they can when they live in town.
