Always The Girlfriend

I hope I can be short and sweet. I am a 29 year old single woman who has been in a sexual relationship with a married man for seven years. It's not a support thing, he doesn't pay my bills. I cruise along, I can't quit. Not in the cards. I know he owns me and I'm fine with that. Men own women and women are owned by men.

I try to be a good girlfriend and not make waves with his wife, when he can come see me is fine. I am always polite to her and defer to her. As it is I see him sexually two to four times a month. I keep him up to date on my periods so he doesn't come over for nothing. Socially we see each other along with his wife. She calls me his 'secretary'.

I have a life, friends, family. I am destined to be single, the girlfriend. I know a single woman who has been the girlfriend for 25 years. I know that's me. She actually retired when her boyfriend did so that she can travel with her boyfriend and his wife.
