we live next to this moron who constantly parks his business van in front of our house and blocks our drivway so we have a hard to time getting out of it. he has room in his driveway to park it but he said that he has 2 vans he uses for his business and never knows which one he's going to use that day so this way it's easier for him to just jump in either van and just go without having to move one to get to the other. in his own words, he said "why inconvenience myself?" other than his van blocking our driveway, it's also a hazard because the van is so big and wide and that it blocks our view and we can't see oncoming cars or kids who ride their bikes w/o paying attention to the cars. we've asked him to move it but he keeps giving us that "i don't want to be inconvenienced speech."

we found out that in our area people are not allowed to park commercial vehicles in residential areas and also there's a law that says a vehicle must be moved every 24 hours or it can be considered abandoned. so when he left his van in front of our house again, my friends called to say there was an abandoned vehicle on our street and they don't ask for a name, just where the vehicle is and a description. so what happens is that they send someone out to check it out and they leave a notice that if the car isn't moved it will be considered abandoned and towed away. we saw the notice on his van but he didn't move the van and a few days later the inspector comes by again and this time he marked the van to be towed. again our neighbor did nothing but the next day we came home from work and the van was gone. we later found out from the other neighbors that it was towed away by the city as an abandoned vehicle. one of the neighbors thinks that to get back his van he'll have to pay a fine plus all the towing charges! we don't know what he had to do to get it back but we now see his van in his driveway!
